      Answer: It is like a regular chapstick...I use it almost everyday to prevent from getting a cold sore. I have not gotten a cold sore since using it, so not sure about the risk of spreading the cold sore.
    • Question: Can this be used only when a cold sore breaks out, or does it have to be used daily to prevent one from breaking out?

      Answer: I use it if I feel my lip burning and it prevents it from coming out. or if I don't catch it in time, I still put the stick on it and its gone in half the time any other cold sore ointment out there.

      Answer: It's pretty decent lip balm too: a little gummy maybe when it is hot out.

      Answer: It doesn't say petroleum free, but petroleum is not listed in the ingredients so I would say yes, petroleum free.

      Answer: My daughter uses it daily, and for when she has a cold sore.

      Answer: Yes, it's amazing. Of you start using when you first feel it, you may not even get the cold sore or it will be much milder and not last as long. Love Lysine.

    Best cold sore prevention!
    This is the best for cold sore prevention! I use it daily and don’t get cold sores anymore! Used to get them at least 2x per year. Thanks Super Lysine Plus!

    I love all Super Lysine products!
    All the ladies in my family are plagued with fever blisters. I've tried different brands and Super Lysine is by far the best! The stick doesn't seem to be as strong as the ointment, but it's easier to keep in your purse. Use at the first sign of a fever blister and it'll be gone in no time!

    Feel it tingly
    There is no flavor, a slight scent that’s not really that pretty but the stick serves it’s purpose. I like it because you can tell it’s some sort of medication inside

    It‘s magic for sore, dry lips and corners of your mouth.
    To moisturize my lips at night, especially the corners of my mouth. It takes care of the problem of sore corners.

    Great lip balm, worth the price
    I make sure to always have this on hand even if it's a little pricey for lip balm. It's very moisturizing and great for chapped lips, especially during the winter. The lysine in it also helps with cold sores. I like that it has SPF, too.
