    • Question: Timer how to set it

      Answer: There a couple little buttons on the bottom, as well as a small LCD screen. Easy to set the time and alarms.
    • Question: Can the hourly time announcement feature be turned off, or is it always on by default?

      Answer: Yes, all automatic announcements are off as default.
    • Question: Does this also give day of the week when it gives the date?

      Answer: Yes. Today it says "Wednesday March 18, thousand and fifteen."
    • Question: The setting seems to be hanging up on Alarm off/Alarm On. The Mode button just keeps repeating these two options. If I do get to the Chime setting & try to select off, it goes back to the alarm option. Also what turns off the hourly voice announcement.

      Answer: i gave the clock to my mom as a gift. If I remember, I think you need to hold down the Mode button for 2-3 seconds until it speaks the next function, then press The Set button to set that function. I believe tHe hourly announcement is in the chime function.
    • Question: Have purchased the Reizen 3 n 1 cube clock... .l.ove it but hate that it chimes every hour on the hour can u shut diown this functioin?

    Works great but battery life is just one week
    I bought this for my aunt who has macular degeneration. She loves it. The voice is understandable provided you set the volume control switch to high. It also has an alarm feature that I have not tired using. Just a few complaints. 1) Short battery life -- It takes two AA batteries which last about a week. 2) Setting date/time not intuitive -- One the bottom there is a small screen and several buttons. You can eventually figure out how to set date and time without referring to the instruction sheet with its tiny print. 3) Settings not preserved -- When you have to replace the batteries, the date/time settings are not preserved. 4) Buttons too small -- My Aunt complained that the buttons are too small and not very visible.

    This was for mom
    This item worked as expected while my mom was still here....she was legally blind before she passed away, and this was a much needed aid for her.

    Good product
    I bought this for my grandmother who is blind. In order to find out what time it is she would always have to dial 411 or call someone for the time. Now all she has to do is push a button and it calls out the time to her. She loves this thing so much. Really made me happy to give her something that she needed so badly!!!

    Talking clock
    Perfect for my 90 year old Dad. Voice is clear and loud enough. Day recognition is great as is hourly time recognition with AM/PM. When it's dark at 5:00 AM and dark at 5:00 PM and he has taken a nap, it tells him it's still the same day and whether it's AM or PM. A little pricey for such a small little lightweight box, but it does everything I was hoping it would do, and therefore worth the price.

    wonderful product for my elderly mother
    My 89 year old mother cannot see and constantly asks what time it is. This product is very easy for her to use. Actually she could not feel the button to push so we hot glued a normal blouce button on it and it works great. Just a suggestion you may want to keep in mind. I am 100% pleased.

    Very easy to set - and I have been doing this ...
    Very easy to set - and I have been doing this for my mother for years! The voice is clear, loud and very easy for her to operate since she is totally blind and 80+. It is durable when dropped and the battery compartment stays closed which is often a problem. She has purchased multiple clocks for other rooms. Alarm feature is easy to turn on and off for the weekends.
