Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question: While standing will I be able to use the leg lifter to lift my leg into my van.
Answer: I would think you would sit on the van seat first but - yes- you would be able to lift leg while standing. I hope this helps . -
Question: Leg is paralyzed and unable to lift foot/toes. Is this device rigid enough to put under toes while sitting in order to lift leg onto bed?
Answer: I HIGHLY recommend getting the model that has the FOOT GRIP ("Leg Lifter Strap with Foot Grip, 40" ). This rubber insert helps to keep the loop OPEN so you can get it around your foot. Otherwise, you may get *frustrated* when the loop isn't open enough for you to get it around your foot. That defeats the purpose of having the device, in my opinion. -
Question: Which size should I buy for height of 5'6" for hip replacement?
Answer: I ordered the 41" one for my 5'6" mother. It works well for her. If it is too long, you can always grip higher on the lifter. If you get one that is too short, you are out of luck. -
Question: How do i measure what length to use? My mother is 5'2
Answer: Your Mother is petite. I would get the shortest length available. It appears to be 34 and a half inches. This product is terrific. My hubby really used it a lot for in and out bed and the car. Good luck to you. -
Question: I'm 5'4", what size leg lifter should I get for me?
Answer: I am also 5'4". This is the one I bought and it works great -
Question: I drive with hand controls, would this work to lift my right leg into my car. have ms and drive a rav 4
Answer: Absolutely. the only problem I can see is that you will need to put your driver seat all the way back and down and make sure that the steering wheel is as high as it can go. I had a total right knee replacement. In the beginning I used it as a passenger and it was terrific. on my 6th week or recovery I started driving. I found if you perform the procedure as above, you shouldn't have too much trouble. I believe my leg extender was 34". You may have to grasp it lower in order to lift the leg higher. I know that the docs. recommend that you sit and swivel, but that didn't work for me. good luck. -
Question: Why does this product say "without a footgrip" when the picture shows a footgrip? Also, is this product rigid?
Answer: I disagree and do not think this model is rigid. I HIGHLY recommend getting the model that has the FOOT GRIP ("Leg Lifter Strap with Foot Grip, 40" ). This rubber insert helps to keep the loop OPEN so you can get it around your foot. Otherwise, you may get *frustrated* when the loop isn't open enough for you to get it around your foot. That defeats the purpose of having the device, in my opinion. -
Question: I have arthritis in my knees and hips. Will it help me get into my van?
Answer: This leg lifter helps lift the leg wherever you need lifting assistance, on the bed, off a chair, so my assumption is that it would assist with cars or vans. -
Question: Do these have a tag? I need a place to barcode them for our business.
Answer: Video could not be loaded -
Question: What are directions for leg lifter?
Answer: Adjust semi-rigid opening to allow foot to go halfway through. Insert foot. Pull with other loop to place leg in desired position.
