Question: Could this be used as an oral thermometer for adults?
Answer: No, this thermometer cannot be used as an oral thermometer for adults. The probe is too short to take an accurate under tongue temperature, and it is calibrated for rectal temperatures, not oral temperatures. Question: Would this work on cats and dogs?
Answer: This thermometer is not calibrated to work on animals and using it as such can provide you with a false reading. For further support, please reach out to us directly. Our email and phone number can be found in your Owner’s Manual. -
Question: Does this thermometer have a flexible tip?
Answer: This does indeed have a flexible tip; both as per the packaging and a quick check of the thermometer. -
Question: Does it light up when done? the original vick’s thermometer lights up green yellow or red when finished?
Answer: It doesn't light up a specific color, but it lights when you use it and beeps when it is done. I think it beeps different when the temp would be considered a fever. -
Question: Is it possible to switch the F° farenheit reading to C° celsius? Thank you

Answer: It's hard to accurately measure, seems like somewhere between 2/16 to 3/16 inches (3.175mm to 4.76mm) -
Question: Can I really not use petroleum jelly like Vasoline with this product? What do you use instead that's water-soluble?

Question: Do I need to use a jell before inserting it or can I use it without the jell (petroleum jell?)? What kind of jell can I use it other than petroleum?
Answer: I always use petroleum jelly when insering the rectal thermometer.
