Product Description
Overview |
Brazos, a Briggs Healthcare Company, is a family operated business located in the beautiful Brazos River Valley area of central Texas. We’ve been producing the highest quality handcrafted sticks and canes for more than 15 years. Our products are made by skilled craftsmen in small, “cottage industry” workshops located within a few miles of our facilities. Brazos walking canes offer natural appeal because they are made from real wood. You can see the fine detail and beauty of the actual tree. Each cane is a work of art. it is common for the canes and sticks to have cracks, especially on the ends. These naturally formed cracks do not inhibit the stability of the staffs in anyway but help define the character. |
Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question: It says that I will look and feel good wherever I go. Is this true?
Answer: Yes! Having this stout walking stick in your hand will give you assurance and peace of mind, knowing that you're fully equipped to brave the trail before you, no matter where your feet may roam. :-) -
Question: Would a brazos twisted hickory handcrafted wood walking stick, 48 inch be a good height for a 5' 6" man or the 41 inch?
Answer: The hieght of the stick should be at least to the arm pit. I am 5’6” and I have a 55”. I think 48” is a little too short. -
Question: Is this walking stick weather proof and or waterproof? Thanks
Answer: The short answer is no. Although the stick will withstand water for a short time, we recommend drying it off as soon as possible and either remove the rubber tip so it dries out underneath or hanging upside down. -
Question: Hello i i’m 4”11 female. wanted to know how tall should i order my walking stick.
Answer: I am 6 ' 1" tall and the 58 inch stick is perfect for me. I'd guess you might want the shortest one. I use mine for walks twice a day and have owned mine since June 2019. This is a very well made product. Hope this helps. -
Question: Would a brazos twisted hickory handcrafted wood walking stick, 48 inch be a good height for a 5' 6" man or the 41 inch?
Answer: I'm 6'4" and have the 58 inch model. And it's a bit tall for me. The grip on it runs from about the 49 inch mark to the 55 inch mark. Ideally you want to stand up erect, have your upper arm down at your side and bend your elbow 90 degrees to make your forearm parallel to the ground. Then measure the distance from the center of your grip (hand) to the ground. Do this with your shoes on. Then buy a stick that will position your hand in the center of the stick's grip. 41" sounds too short. A 5'8" friend of mine uses a 55" stick. Something else to keep in mind, as the terrain changes so will the position of your hand on the stick. As you go uphill you will grab it further down on the shaft. As you go downhill you will choke up higher on the stick. So make sure you have a little extra length to play with. -
Question: If i am 5 feet tall exactly, do i qualify as a “shorter adult” that needs the shortest stick, or would the 48 inch do for me? thanks!
Answer: I am 6'1" and use the 58 inch stick in walks daily. I would guess that the 48 inch stick would be right for you but only you will be able to tell when you actually walk with it. I hope this helps. -
Question: Can this walking stick be shorten?
Answer: Yes, just cut off what you need from the bottom and stick the rubber tip back on.
