Question: Do you use this with water, before or after application? Do you need to wear gloves or face mask when using it?
Answer: I do not use gloves. I just put the brass cleaner into a fiber blend cloth and rub it on my brass item and then use a clean fiber cloth to wipe off the cleaner and polish the item. No need to use water. I really like this product. Also no need to wear a mask. There is no offensive odor or fumes to burn your ey -
Question: Will this clean jewelry that has turned pink?
Answer: I'm not sure about that, but I would start with a metal polish like this one to try and restore the original shine and luster. -
Question: what color is the polish?
Answer: It is white in color. -
Question: How many weeks does the polish last?
Answer: Initially it is a bright brass color. In two or three weeks it begins to turn a darker patina. -
Question: Does this help remove scratches on tile floors?
Answer: I didn't try it on my tiles or wood floors but its made for brass so I wouldn't think it would work for tile flooring. Google scratches on tile floors and see what can help. I do believe there is something out there that can help. Good luck. -
Question: Has anyone used on stainless steel? Hopes makes a stainless steel polish but on the bottle is says "not for mirror finishes - use Hopes Brass polish"
Answer: Yes. Hope's Brass Polish works great on mirror-finished stainless steel. For brushed stainless, we recommend Hope's Perfect Sink. -
Question: Can you use on brushed brass purse hardware?
Answer: I can’t thank of reason why you couldn’t use it. Brass polish is good for most brass products. -

Question: How do you recognize when to stop cleaning the brass??? The more I apply the more it comes off black, but the metal is no more shiny.
Answer: I think you have the same problem I did. Maybe your item is brass plated, which the polish seems to remove instead of shine. I simply stopped rubbing the handles when I got parts of it to shine. They have a lot of grooves and I went for an antique look that way. Hope this helps cause the shine doesn’t come back. I moved that handle to a cabinet where it wasn’t so noticeable. It does state that on the bottle or item details so I was watching for it to happen. -
Question: My front door knobs are brass. Can this be use on brass door knob?
Answer: It worked con my brass pot and brass frames. Would assume it would work on brass door knob
