Question: I wear a 100mcg Fentenyl patch, would these be large enough to cover up the patch so I can shower?
Answer: My patches measure about 1 3/4” by 1 1/2”, and these cover the patch nicely with about 1/4” all-around to spare. I use a mirror to help position the Tegaderm accurately. -
Question: Will this tape be good to put over a freestyle libre sensor
Answer: Yep, the best you'll find. I use the Skin Tac wipe first and it lasts 14 days even through showers, 7-10 in the summer. -
Question: Does the size of these dressings include the window frames? Need to cover a fentanyl patch which is approx. 1 1/2" x 1 1/4". Just making sure!
Answer: For anyone still questioning if these are the ones that you need to cover your fentanyl patch, the answer is YES. 1624 (id # for this particular patch) is what I have used for many many years to keep my fentanyl patch held in place. So that I have ample skin to tegaderm contact I use 2 tegaderm patches to cover my fentanyl patch. This is the only way I have ever been able keep my fentanyl patch from coming off especially if I shower. Yes the two tegaderms do overlap over my fentanyl patch but I have a good 3/4 inch of tegaderm adhering to my skin. When I tried to use just one tegaderm there was not enough of the tegaderm in contact with my skin and both the tegaderm and my fentanyl patch would fall off. When it is time to change my fentanyl patch, I use a Cottonalle butt wipe and start at one of the tegaderm corners and work the corner loose and continue using the wet wipe to work the tegaderm and the fentanyl patch away from my skin while gently and slowly pulling the patches loose and off. I also use those same wipes to clean the skin where I will be applying my fresh fentanyl patch as well as to clean the area from which I removed the exhausted patch. Hope this helps someone who might still be looking for an answer. -
Question: Tegaderm are Breathable, yet waterproof with bacterial barrier. Are Nexcare also breathable & waterproof?
Answer: Yes, they are breathable and waterproof. My husband uses them and showers with them and they hold up really well. -
Question: Can the "window" be removed? The ones I have purchased at the drug store, you place the dressing where you want it, then peel the paper "edges" off.
Answer: if you need the center of the bandage off and not applied before you peel off the paper to place it take an exato knife and cut out the center where you do not want it the remove it and place it where you want it if you just need the edges of the of the Tegaderm. I have done that for some wounds but with these the bandage lets air in and doesn't hurt the skin or area that needs to be protected. I have been using them daily now for almost a year to keep medication patches in place and have not had a problem with them at all and my skin is perfect. A hint to this is also never use soap on the area I clean off the adhesive with alchol swabs then only clean water on a wash cloth dry it and then reapply it where I need it and have no skin issues. I hope this help -
Question: I work in a hospital and these are stampted w/ dates to be used by. What is the date on this lot?
Answer: Good day to you! The info on my last box says LOT : 2016-07PA and an hour glass symbol that is expire with : 2016-07 I assume the expiration date is indeed July of 2016. Hope that helps! Mik -

Answer: We ordered back in February of this year and I see 2015-09 on our box so we still have over a year to use it. -
