Question: Can these capsules be opened & put in water or juice?
Answer: I asked the company and says they do not suggest opening the capsule as the chitosan could irritate the throat. -
Question: Is there rice flour in this?
Answer: No. It contains chromium, chitosan, cellulose, stearic acid and silica. Also contains shellfish (shrimp). -
Question: Other chitosan supplement labels say to drink water with it. Does these capsules have to be drank with water also since it is shellfish fiber?
Answer: I have just gone over the entire label. I see no mention of water at all. I open the capsule for my small dog and mix the powder with pumpkin and/or yogurt. Since the Chitosan acts as a thickener I do add a little water just to make mixing it easier to assure it's a smooth mix while he is dancing around at my feet waiting to lap it up. -

Question: The product is called “chitosan 500mg with chromium, 240 capsules”. the label shown to the left says 1,500 mg “liposan ultra chitosan”. which is it?
Answer: The serving size is 3 capsules. Each capsule contains 500mg of chitosan. -
Question: What is the product expiration date?
Answer: All that I have gotten has always been far enough out that the capsules were long gone before the expiration date. I use them for my two dogs, one each everyday making 2 a day come out of the bottle. -
Question: description says it works if taken as directed however it does not say what the direction is... When/how should it be taken?
Answer: I give it once a day with a meal. -
Question: Is this form Chitosan Oligosaccharide?
Answer: i do not see the word oligosaccharide any where on the package. -
Question: Does this get rid of cellulite on legs?
Answer: I mean I honestly couldn't tell you THAT but I DID notice that I was losing fat, whether it was just fat from my bloodstream or actually attacking fat from my body, I'm not sure. I think if I could have afforded to keep taking them non stop all this time, they might've made a substantial difference in my weight loss journey. Unfortunately, supplements etc. were the first thing to go when I was scaling back what I could and could not afford :(
