Question: Has anyone had success in using this cleaner to remove old urine stains?
Answer: I have only used it on dog urine and it works very well on old stains; however, as with most any stain the sooner you catch it the more success you'll have in removing it. Overall, BacOut is the best urine neutralizer and stain remover I have found since we started potty training our puppy. The big plus in using it on carpet is that you can saturate it clear through down to the pad and the enzymes will go to work on the foul odor without the threat of mildew. -
Question: is this the same cleaner as the one labled "foaming action spray" but it just comes in a bottle without a spray nozzle? or is there a difference?
Answer: BioKleen is a liquid cleaner that can be sprayed onto stains but is not a foaming action cleaner. Let the cleaner soak into the stained area and then blot it up with clean rags. It may require more than one application of BioKleen to get the toughest, oldest biodegradable stains out. I think this is one of the greatest products ever made for biodegradable stains and I always have a bottle on stand by. -
Question: Is this a concentrate?
Answer: I don't think so. I don't dilute it - I use it full strength from the bottle and always have. I suggest you order it with the sprayer bottle, or pour it into one. It is the only product that takes out clay and grass stains off of my sons' white baseball pants. That's why I keep buying it. Hope this helps. -
Question: I bought the foam sprayer version of this in past and it's almost empty. Can I buy this and refill into it?
Answer: Absolutely. In fact, that’s the most economical way to go about it. Try it in a regular spray bottle as well and see how you like it! -
Question: I gave this to my neighbor and it took the stain out and left a white spot on the rub. What to do?
Answer: Try respraying then blot with damp cloth Spray a little outside original border Also area may have a residue from previous chemicals. When I cleaned car upholstery I did whole area not spot clean -
Question: Would this work on a white quartz countertop?
Answer: I can't say for sure that this won't work on countertops because I've never tried it, but it's designed mainly for fabric. I don't think it will hurt quartz any if you want to give it a try, but a cleaner that's designed for use on countertops and other kitchen and bathroom surfaces would probably be more effective. -
Question: Is this product safe for good oriental rugs? Anyone used it this way?
Answer: Do you mean a hand knotted rug without a fabric backing? Try it on the back first but if it's silk or wool it should be fine. The lesser quality type with the cotton backing are fine; I have one that was nailed to garage stairs when I moved into a house and was accidentally moved with me. I swear that thing could be put in a washer if one was large enough (but even so, don't tell an Oriental rug hand cleaner that if you want them to respect you and your rugs!) Always test first and use white terry cloth cleaning towels (you can buy large packs from Costco- don't wring them out and keep trying to use the same one(s) over and over again. Give yourself permission to keep grabbing fresh clean ones since you don't want to smear dirt around or wring dirt into the cleaning cloth). With a clean white cloth you can see if any dye is lifting (and urine, etc too). I love Bac-Out!
