Question: What OTHER fragrances are in there?
Answer: I emailed NOW for product information, and this was the reply (which came very quickly-good customer service) : "Jasmine scented oil (7555) is a mix of Jasmine oil and synthetic fragrance substances.The fragrances are proprietary non-jasmine perfume oils that smell like jasmine. This item contains only those ingredients permitted for use in fragrances as stated in both The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) and Research Institute for Fragrance Materials (RIFM) listings." -
Question: Is this a therapeutic grade?
Answer: I don't know if it is therapeptic grade. I use as a perfume on my wrist. -
Question: How does the mix of jasmine and other fragrances differ from the Jasmine Absolute?
Answer: This is mixed with grapeseed oil. A common carrier oil that does not have its own scent. It will not affect the smell of the Jasmine. -
Question: Is it suitable for facial massage?
Answer: if you're using it for the properties of jasmine oil then no -- if you're using it for the scent of jasmine then yes. It is a fragrance oil which you would never know from the description or product photo. And for a facial massage i'll bet you want some of jasmine's wrinkle fighting/skin repair properties so you'll want actual jasmine essential oil. Good luck! -
Question: Is it safe to use this oil on your skin? Are the synthetic fragrances harmful to the body at all?
Answer: I apologize that my answer isn't "scientific", but if it helps any, I used jasmine oil in a homemade body butter and it didn't irritate my skin. I didn't notice any tips of allergy or other negatives. I would only use a few drops for homemade lotions, soaps, or perfumes. I do use a vanilla essential oil and I put a few drops on my neck as perfume. I don't notice any type of irritation. I did, however, hate the smell of this essential oil in my lotion. It was too strong:( -
Question: Pack of 2 means 1 oz each or split to equal 1 oz?
Answer: From my experience 2 1 oz. Also note this is a fragrance mixture not essential oil. -
Question: Can someone please describe the smell?
Answer: Do NOT buy this junk!!! It spilled (bottle BROKE while lightly closing the cap!) and its contents ATE THE PAINT off my desk! Knowing that some companies mix their blends - cuz this is NOT jasmine only , nor therapeutic quality, but a "fragrance blend" - with KEROSENE, so I called the company on it...they did NOT reply indignantly , nor replied at all. It smells faintly of kerosene as well as chemicals... be forewarned and don't waste your money on this garbage. I threw mine out rather than pollute my body or home with the chemicals and kerosene.
