Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question: Will this dryer work with both 110V and 220V or would it need a converter for overseas use?
Answer: The dryer only works on 110 volts and you would need a converter for oversea -
Question: Does Audio Dry come with a plug in cord with a on/off switch?
Answer: Yes the ON/OFF switch is on the cord -
Question: when using this dryer do you remove the batteries as well as opening the battery compartment?
Answer: Yes. I always have and I've been using the dryer for several years. My batteries last about 7 days. The left longer than the right because of the power requirement. However, I change them both at the same time. Bob December 27,2014 -
Question: Do you remove the batteries when drying?
Answer: Yes, I have found my batteries last significantly longer when removed. -
Question: How hot does this tray get and does it cycle the heat on and off?
Answer: it does not cycle the heat you turn it on an off .and it does not get to hot just a little warm -
Question: Can this be used for bluetooth earphones (apple airpods etc)?
Answer: Not sure if they are made of the same materials as hearing aids. You'd have to ask the company. But this does work well for hearing aids. It dries up the ear wax and flakes off instead of staying in the hearing aid. -
Question: If the Audiodry only works on 110V why does the power cord list 110v to 240V?
Answer: AudioDry will operate on both 120V and 240V, making it the ideal hearing aid dryer for international travel. All you need is an adapter for the country you are traveling to! -
Question: So do you have to remember to turn it off after each use or does it turn off automatically after the cycle?
Answer: It does not turn off automatically. It has an inline, off/on, switch. I unplug it after each use. Be sure to pull it out of the socket by holding on to the transformer, not the wire. I have had several of these units and the switch is the weakest link. -
Question: Does it work for the shell type hearing aid?
Answer: I think it will work with any kind of hearing aid. It is just a small warm bowl that is about two and a half inches across and 3/4 of an inch deep. It will gently warm any thing that fits into that space. -
Question: How hot does this get? I have both cats and dogs, so I would need to keep this sort of dryer (open, no top) in a drawer, with just a gap for the cord
Answer: can't see how it would be a danger to either a dog or cat. The warmer develops heat slowly, and even when it's been one all night it's never hot ... just warm. If anything, I suspect your pets might find it comforting and warm. (Just make sure they don't chew on your hearing aids!)
