    Classic is a robust clinical analogue thermometer. It does not contain Mercury (which is toxic): it uses instead Galistan to precisely measure body temperature. NOTE: temperature reading is in degrees Celsius. Classic does not need batteries and always work!

Mercury Thermometers are now banned from many markets including Italy, France, England and many other European countries. The thermometers Geratherm contain Galinstan, an alloy of gallium, indium and zinc that replaced the mercury. Thermometers with Gallistan are therefore the only alternative to the old analogue thermometers and Geratherm, our partners, are the company that holds the worldwide patent for this product. Any other analogue thermometer mercury free on the market, not Geratherm, is illegal and Geratherm has implemented various procedures with the manufacturers of these thermometers in order to protect its patent.
