Question: Do you prefer this or oxiclean?
Answer: Performance wise I find stain remover sprays to work better, whether OxiClean or Shout. This Biokleen powder and another natural oxygen bleach product I tried both said you could put it directly in the wash to remove stains but I was constantly having to rewash and retreat stuff. It works okay if you scrub the powder into stains with a damp toothbrush but I prefer the convenience of a spray if I'm going to spot treat. I believe Biokleen makes a spray so I plan to try that since I do want to use cruelty free, non-toxic products. Ps: I personally have found this to be fine for colors, but you should probably test yourself on a garment you don't care that much about first. New clothing in particular may have dye that wasn't set properly. I recommend washing new clothing with detergent alone per instructions before wearing or treating with something else. And avoid bleach or bleach alternatives if the instructions say not to. -
Question: What are the ingredients?
Answer: Ingredients: sodium carbonate, sodium sulphate, hydrogen peroxide, sodium gluconate, citrus grandis (grapefruit) seed extract, glycerin, sodium chloride. No fragrance added -
Question: Sorry if this is obvious... but it says "color-safe" but it also has "bleach" in the name. Can I use this in my laundry with dark colored clothes?
Answer: It's wise to spot test in an inconspicuous spot on your clothing to be sure, but in general oxygen bleaches are safe for colors. Just know that they do not have disinfecting properties; only chlorine bleach is a disinfecting bleach. -
Question: Can I use for deorderising the cellar?
Answer: I think it would be too expensive to use for that purpose. I would try "Nature's Miracle" Dilute as per instructions. I bought a gallon jug mostly because there a lot of skunks around (I have dog). Gallon not as expensive to use compared to BioKlean. -
Question: Are these packs or powder or liquid? If powder are there toss in packs you sell?
Answer: This is a powder and it is not available in packs. -
Question: Is it OK to use this if you have a septic system?
Answer: Yes. It is free from bleach and phosphates - two big no nos for septic systems. Your septic system uses bacteria to breakdown waste so you don’t want to introduce anything that will kill off that healthy bacteria. -
Question: I was wondering about using this to disinfect my countertops? I have granite and formica countertops. How would you mix it up?
Answer: I would try looking up an answer on the net. It has often solved my problems. I am afraid that I do not have knowledge of what you might use on your special counter tops. Good fortune in finding the info you need.
