Question: is this pharmaceutical grade?
Answer: Everything you put in your mouth has to be pharmaceutical grade... I love when companies use this term to describe their products. It also has to be made in a FDA approved facility since the company is making the product for human consumption. -
Question: Is this capsule filled with liquid or powder?
Answer: Powder, the capsules are easy to open if you wish to give less then the 500mg. Also sprinkle and mix with wet food and cats will eat it with no problem. If for dog same can be done, my friend does this for his dogs. -
Question: Is the Lysine extracted from soy?
Answer: i have no idea how they make it....soy is protein yes....but lysine is but one of amino acid of the protein family... if it were extracted from soy it would probably take 100 pounds of soy just to make one 500 mg capsule ... when a vitamin reaches 500 mg ....1000 mg ...they start calling it pharmacy grade...meaning its a drug... it doesnt look organic to me ...more chemical like...i choose lysine because its only but one of the engrediants that mimick HGH human growth hormone...dont take more than 3000 mg of enything within an 8 hr. period dont take more than 80 mg of ginkgo per day....always test and use caution...observe all drug interaction -

Question: Is this good for women's hair loss/thinning hair?
Answer: I take both Now L-lysine (cold sores) and Biotin. Biotin is what my dr and hairdresser recommended for beginning hair loss so I've been taking it for years and have a thick head of hair in my 70's. L-lysine may help but I recommend you take Biotin every day also for hair loss/thinning, it definitely has helped me. -
Question: How much Magnesium Stearate is in each capsule? In other words, is it a good source of magnesium?
Answer: No it is not a source of magnesium. Stearate is used in production of capsules. Debatable topic as to if it is harmful or not. Google it. -
Question: this product is not vegetarian...the capsule is made from gelatin?

Question: I ordered capsules as it stated in the description “capsules” and I received tablets. Why??
Answer: I’m sure it was a mistake by whoever filled the order. Return it and ask that your order is refilled. I had a bottle that was missing the seal. Went through online return process and returned it at Kohl’s. Had replacement the next day. Just so you know, if you ordered the 1000 mg, it only comes in tablets. -
