Question: How much more potent is this than the ginger root — in the dry spice section — that I get from the grocery store...?
Answer: Ginger Extract is from rhizomes and standardized to contain 5% gingerols and shogaols through supercriticial CO2 extraction. 100mg of the ginger extract used is equivalent to 1460mg of dry ginger rhizomes. Each capsule contains 500mg. -
Question: Will pure encapsulations ever come out with a smaller version? There are those of us who cannot take giant pills.
Answer: We don't know of plans to change the capsule size but for those who have a hard time taking a full size capsule, the Ginger Extract can be opened and mixed into a food like applesauce. -
Question: Will this product help with inflamation?
Answer: Being that my inflammation results from digestive tract irritation and given that your stomach and G.I. tract are your second brain, if you calm that down it should help with entire body inflammation. Ginger works better for me for that purpose, given the nature of my inflammation, more any other thing. I'm no expert on the subject and here is alot more to learn about Ginger and it's an anti-inflammatory properties. -

Question: Previous order brown pills and strong ginger taste. Current bottle yellow and no taste. Same product/bottle. Why/is something wrong with one?

Question: Am I correct in assuming that 5% gingerols out of 500mg = 25mg of gingerols?
Answer: Correct. Percentages on all Pure Encapsulations products are calculated by weight. So, 500 mg of ginger root extract standardized to contain 5% gingerols, will provide 25 mg of gingerols per capsule. -
Question: How big are the capsules? I cannot swallow horse pills.
Answer: I do not consider them horse pills. I measured the capsules to be 3/4 inch long.
