Question: I don't see any information on dosage, how many dosages are included in this container. Can someone provide this information? Thank you.
Answer: There is a "scoop" that comes with the powder. I put a scoop of powder in a small amount of orange juice and take it along with two capsules of Pure Magnesium (citrate). There are 180 capsules in a container, so these products last a long time. These products have worked like "magic" for me. -
Question: What are the inactive ingrediens? it does not say on the label. it should be on the label if there are none, which it does not say.
Answer: There are no in active ingredients. Therefore the name pure encapsulations. I’ve been using them for years. My doctor supplied them and recommended them. They are the best products on the market you can trust them -

Question: I purchased this, and it turned tan/brown before the expiration date. Is it still good to take?
Answer: U should keep it In your refrigerator after opening. If it’s a light tan u can use. If it’s dark brown toss it This is a great product. It was obviously stored wrong . It must kept dry & cold after opening -
Question: The seller says the product is manufacutered in the USA, however where is the vitamin c itself sourced from?
Answer: I don’t know the source of their vitamin C, but I can tell u that Pure Encapsulations is the best vitamin company around I get most of mine thru my doctor and have been using their products for more than a decade When first introduced Pure Encapsulations were only available thru MD’s I’ve been on 5 grams or more of vitamin C daily for over 45 years. Question: is this corn free?
Answer: Thank you for your interest in Pure Encapsulations® Buffered Ascorbic Acid. The ascorbic acid is derived from corn dextrose fermentation and palm oil. The protein has been removed through this process, however if you have been diagnosed with a corn allergy, then this product would not be suited for you to use. If you have a sensitivity to corn, we do advise that you discuss this supplement with your healthcare provider. -
Question: How is the taste? Is it sour?
Answer: Mine tastes like nasty chalk. Not citrusy or sour at all. Need something strong to mask it -
Question: Can I use this to make liposomal vit C?
Answer: Unfortunately, Pure Encapsulations does not have information on using their ingredients in a liposomal formulation. They recommend against the Buffered Ascorbic Acid powder as it needs to be mixed in water and allowed to react before consuming. The Buffered Ascorbic Acid capsules are already reacted, but they do not have information on whether mineral ascorbates form liposomes well.
