Question: What is the percentage of the vanilla essential oil in the blend?
Answer: When I contacted the manufacturer, I was told they use 3% CO2 extract with jojoba. -
Question: is this clear/white oil? or is it brown like extract?
Answer: It is brown and thick. Very hard to get out of the bottle. I haven't really found a good use for it yet. I was hoping it could replace fragrance oils but it is hard to use. I guess it depends on what you want to do with it. -
Question: What is the flash point of this oil? I want to try it to make candles.
Answer: You should ask the manufacturer about the flash point. Many EO experts advise against using Eos for candles because it takes so much to get a strong scent. -
Question: Could someone please tell me what essential oil's would mix well together with vanilla!
Answer: Practically any of them!!! Vanilla is amazing -
Question: Is this edible if added as a flavor?
Answer: It is pure oil, so it would not taste very good, you probably want a pure Vanilla extract, not an essential oil. As far as it being safe, I think it would be safe in small portions, but that is just my opinion. People debate about ingesting essential oils. Some people believe some oils are safer than others. You can google these debates to decide for yourself. It is great as an essential oil and as scent, if that means anything. Good luck! -
Question: This says it is made with vanillla extract. I have read that vanilla extract will not mix with oils because it is extracted with alcohol.
Answer: It’s probably vanilla oleoresin (which is made by removing the alcohol solvent from vanilla extract). I just finished a bottle of this and can confirm that it mixes with the jojoba oil very well - I shake it but have never noticed any separation. -
Question: Why is this already diluted? What pure vanilla essential oil.
Answer: It's nearly impossible to find pure vanilla oil and if you do, it's very expensive. Vanilla essential oils and vanilla absolutes all have a carrier oil in them to make the vanilla "stretch" and is more affordable to the customer. If you find any other vanilla essential oil, check the label carefully and keep an eye on the price. The more natural vanilla versus carrier oil, and whether or not it's organic, will make the price quite steep. -
Question: can you mix this with unscented lotion?
Answer: Yes, I mix them with coconut, jojoba oils, and with lotion to make them smell nice. The good thing is you can control how much you put in or how strong you want the smell. -
Question: can you put this in laundry wash?
Answer: I wouldn't because it has an additive of jojoba oil in it.. I would use lemon, lavender, ylang ylang etc... As long as it has no oil in it.. Hope that helped.. -
Question: I was told not to put this in my diffuser. Is this correct?
Answer: The bottle states it could clog a diffuser & to clean it after use. I did not realize this until after I used it tho. Used this yesterday in a diffuser with peppermint & had no issues with it diffusing. Was going for a Candycane, worked for me.Just trying to remember to clean it well afterwards. I don't find this to be overly sweet smelling,just a good vanilla scent. Doesn't take much either. NOW brand e/o's have been my preference for years with only 1 or 2 I haven't cared for.
