      Answer: The top of the broom is the handle.
    • Question: Can you attach a standard screw in stick to it?

      Answer: The metal cap is screwed in and there are no threads so I would say no.
    • Question: Can I screw my wrought iron fireplace tool handle into it if I remove the cap?

      Answer: No. It is a one piece with no threads. Vic
    • Question: what is the width of this item?

      Answer: The dimensions of the broom base is 6 1/2 by 1 1/2. Some of the bristles stick out of course.

      Answer: Sorry, I really do not know, I found some at Walmart recently for less than $3
    • Question: The pictures do not show any stitching - so what holds it together? if stitched how many rows?

      Answer: At the very top of it there are some thin wires holding the straws together. I have 2 and have been satisfied with the results, but I mostly use it for my steps. Occasionally a straw or two will come out, but overall it's pretty sturdy. Hope this helps.

    It's little pricey
    I have an old whisk broom & it has lasted for many years. This broom is a little bit bigger. I hope will it will last me as many years as my old one.

    Nice Whisk Broom
    It’s just an old-fashioned whisk broom but larger size, nice springy bristles, and it does the job of cleaning out our fireplace very well. No idea how long it will last since we’ve only been using it a few weeks, but it seems to be adequately well-made.
