    Product Description

    Overview

"Best Selling adjustable wheelchair ramps are perfect for home so wheelchair users can easily come and go in indoor or outdoor areas that need ramp assistance. Wheelchair users will also find them invaluable when visiting friends or family who may not have accessible entrances. Light and compact, these portable ramps are easy to travel with or store in the trunk of a car. Each ramp weighs only 6 pounds, making them easy to lift and position. They extend from 3 to 5 feet, for use on different step sizes and heights Each ramp can support 300 pounds (600 pounds total between them). How to Use Two ramps are included. To extend the ramps, pull sections one and two until the locking buttons are fully extended into the holes and snap into place. After use, simply retract them and put them away in their convenient nylon carrying bag. How to Measure for Wheelchair Ramps To calculate the length of the ramp you will need to measure the rise. The rise is the measurement between the ground and where the top of the ramp will be placed. The American with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that public areas have wheelchair ramps with an incline of 4.8 degrees or less (a ratio of 1:12). This equals one foot of ramp for every inch of rise. For residential areas such as homes, ADA recommends a 2:12 slope. This equals one foot of ramp for every two inches of rise. To calculate the ramp length you will divide the rise by two. For home use, these ramps would work for rises up to 10 inches. Next, you need to measure the width of the wheels. These ramps have an inner track area of 4.5 inches. Be certain each wheel is no wider than 4 inches".

    Customer Questions & Answers

    • Question: Would these work for pulling a furniture dolly up stairs into a mobile home? say 30" high (just wondering if a dolly will clear the lip mostly)

Answer: The dolly will clear the lip. You would need to stay within the weight limit for the ramp. I use the ramp for other things besides the wheelchair.
    • Question: I'm looking for something to help my dad get the wheelchair into the back of his vehicle without having to lift it. The chair would be folded.

Answer: This has Two telescoping, adjustable wheelchair ramps easily extend for use with steps, curbs or vehicles then retracts for storage. It will work for your dads vehicle.
    • Question: what is the weight limit for these ramps.

Answer: Sorry, no idea about weight limits... I use each track as a dog ramp for an aged 12 pound dog to get up on and down off a sofa!
    • Question: what is the total weight for this equipment? my walker only weights about 20 LBs.

Answer: 12 pounds total. The product description says each ramp is 6 lbs.
    • Question: Use trunk of 2012 Honda Accord?

Answer: I am not sure but is long enough to reach VAN, SUB and Truck..Always you could replace it or return it..Good Luck
    • Question: can these ramps be joined together to form a longer ramp?

Answer: It is not recommended to join the ramps together.

Works but you have to be careful
The Ramps have to be space perfectly. When you have wheelchair with wheels that swivel, don't backup. I made a template to help set up the ramps at the right distance apart. I also use a rug with nonslip backing when setting up on a tile or linoleum floor.

This ramp works for me on 2 to 3 steps
I do have to remove anti tipping wheel attachment to use

    Alignment Issues; not returnable
Each of my two adult sons tried this product with me, their mother, as the passenger, and each concluded that it did not save them any time. The alignment was not very good between front and back wheels; they both ended up tipping the chair back on the large wheels only. However, it might be useful for a person who cannot tip the chair in this way, provided they can align the wheels well enough. It's pretty sturdy and comes with a nice nylon bag. BUYER BEWARE: Product cannot be returned.
