Question: Does it remove chalk stains from children's clothing?
Answer: it is really for grease stains, potato chips or pizza, that kind of thing. little dots of oil... it is a miracle for that. kind of thing- it is really just what they call french chalk and it is highly absorbent. -

Answer: I used it mostly on spots caused by fat, oil, works like a magic! never tried on make up though. -
Question: Can you use this on a dry clean only sofa?
Answer: Yes, you can use it. It absorbs grease and oil, leaving white powder, that could be cleaned with the brush. -
Question: Will this product work on perspiration stains and odors?
Answer: No -
Question: I have a little blood on an upholstered sofa. Do you think it will remove that?
Answer: It may but it is not the ideal product. You may use diluted peroxide, depending on the color of Sofa. -
Question: Why does it leave a whitest stain if its suppose to be a spot remover ?
Answer: You need to brush the white powder away from the spot you, might have to repeat the process if the stain is not completely removed -
Question: Can this product be used to treat stains before putting into the dryer with a home dry-cleaning product, such as dry cleaner's secret (now woolite)?
Answer: This product did not work for stain removal of any kind. -
Question: What about animal.fur stuffed animal?
Answer: Did not have desired results from this product on regular clothing stains. Was disappointed results & price. Cant speak to stuffed animals, but believe the results would be equally disappointing. -
Question: Would this product be safe to spot clean a silk lampshade?
Answer: It's like chalk....I did, no problem. Been using this for over forty years! -
Question: Has anyone successfully used this to remove pine sap from dry clean only fabric?
Answer: I doubt Janie would work on pine sap. It’s really not meant for stains other than oil, butter, or grease, but it’s excellent for those. I suggest taking it to a cleaner for advice.
