Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question: Is this powder packaged in a plastic bag inside of the cardboard box? And does anyone know if the scoop is recyclable (what # plastic is it)?
Answer: Comes in a bag inside the box. Scoop?? -
Question: Does this work well when washing with cold water?
Answer: It probably helps if your washer has a dedicated dispenser for detergent, as many front loaders do. In the dispenser, water is sprayed directly on the powdered detergent, so it dissolves before flowing into the wash tub. I can imagine if someone dumped a big scoop of detergent directly onto dry clothing, it might not work so well. If your washer doesn't have a dispenser, you can put the detergent into a small jar with some water and shake it up, so it dissolves before adding to the wash. -
Question: Is this tested on animals?
Answer: The label on the box reads, "No animal testing". -
Question: are the ingredients on the box? wondering what it's made from...
Answer: Ingredients listed on the box: Soda ash, zeolites, sodium citrate, vegetable fiber chelators, sodium percarbonate, grapefruit seed and pulp extracts (has no scent), natural corrosion inhibitors, surfactants-degreasers and conditioners from coconut and/or corn, low ph silicates and sodium sulfate. Hope that helps! -
Question: I have an extra large 5.2 cubic feet he washing machine. how much detergent should i use?
Answer: I have a front load large capacity and I use only about a Tablespoon per load, You can play with the amount to see what works for you. (Note: I spray stains before washing.) -
Question: How can you sell an eco friendly product in plastic?
Answer: I find it's hard to avoid soft plastics entirely, so I suggest researching plastic bricking! The concept is to condense the soft plastic you obtain from everyday life into a plastic bottle or jug. You do this until you can't fit anymore plastic into the container and its hard like a brick. It's basically like Wall-E in real life. -
Question: does this contain phenoxyethanol?
Answer: No, this product contains sodium carbonate (mineral-based), sodium sulfate, zeolite (mineral-based), laureth-7, sodium silicate (mineral-based), cellulose gum (plant-derived), and sodium carbonate peroxide (mineral-based). -
Question: Has anyone used the premium plus version with sensitive skin? i use the free and clear version with no problems but would like the scent and ensymes.
Answer: I've never used the scented. -
Question: How does this detergent do with hard water?
Answer: We have been using Biokleen Laundry Powder for over 15 years with our hard well-water .... it cleans and rinses wonderful ... the best laundry powder we have ever used ...
