Answer: Hi Angela, I would think this ramp is a bit short for a Tahoe. Depending on what you'd like to use the ramp for, the recommended ratio is one foot of ramp for every three inches of rise. Question: Is this ramp good for vans ad box trucks? What's the equipment weight limit?
Answer: This ramp has a capacity of 800 lbs. I would recommend our UTW ramps for that kind of application. The UTW ramps have an extended lip to make sure you won't bottom out on the bumper of the vehicle. -

Answer: Would the 8 foot ramp be suitable for a transport chair and 3 steps total height 22 inches, chair weight 17 lbs. weight of people 143 pounds and handler,156 pounds or would I need the 10 foot ramp? -
Question: what is the width?
Answer: The usable width of each ramp is 14-1/2 inches. Each ramp section has two hinge elements welded to the inside vertical portion of each ramp. The hinge position is such that when the ramps are placed side-to-side a hinge pin can be inserted thru the hinge of right panel and continue thru the hinge of the left panel; works for both upper and lower hinges. Each hinge piece adds 1/2 inch to the width of each ramp section. Answer: 14-1/2" plus 1/2" equals 15 inches (nominal). -
Question: Can these 8 or 10ft. ramps be used with RVs, meaning a travel trailer or a 5th wheel?
