Question: May I put this only in my dishwasher or should i put another detergent with Lemi shine?
Answer: You put the 1 teaspoon of Lemi Shine in the main dispenser to get rid of soap scrum and make your dishes shine. Yes you still need to put your detergent in the pre-wash dispenser. As a suggestion, you may also use Lemi Shine in the rinse cycle of your clothes washer too. To both the dishwasher and clothes washer, I add a very small amount of vinegar in with the Lemi Shine. This disinfects both dishes and clothes and make clothes soft, thus eliminating putting in fabric softner. The Lemi Shine covers the smell of the vinegar in your clothes. Together, these two things whiten and brighten clothes. Both or just the Lemi Shine also cleans both washers and make them work much better. With Lemi Shine you eliminate buying the "Jet Dry" stuff for your dishwasher. -

Question: how much lemishine to use for a small 18" dishwasher? I only have one compartment for dishwasher soap.
Answer: Just put about a tablespoon of Lemi Shine in the bottom of the dishwasher before you start the wash cycle. This answer was given by Happy, Happy, Happy on July 19, 2021. I hope this help -
Question: is this a detergent or a booster
Answer: I have used it as both. When I had problems with spots on my dishes, after washing, I used it in both the pre-wash and main cup dispensers. Now I will use it in the prewash dispenser with my regular detergent in the main cup. There are times when I don't use it at all but as soon as I see a problem again I will go back to at least using it in the pre-wash cup. -
Question: I have a new dishwasher that only has one receptacle. Does anyone have an idea for how to use it in this situation?
Answer: Are you using liquid or powder soap? I mix one full box of powder soap w one full bottle of the lemi shine. Shake & pour into a single receptacle. With that info, if you are using liquid, it doesn't take much of the lemi shine to have an effect. Mix it and start with a small amount. Depending on your hard water situation, adjust more or less. Answer: I believe they are the same thing. I think that it's just different packaging labeling. -
Question: I have a new dishwasher, do you use this everyday in the dishwasher or just once a while?
Answer: Depends. Are you using it to maintain your dishwasher or to help with hard water on your dishes? I use it for both, so I mix 1 box if dishwasher, powder detergent, with one full bottle of lemi shine. I pour in my detergent as usual,and don't have to worry about adding the lemi shine. If you're just maintaining your dishwasher, once every 2 weeks with an empty washer might keep things smooth. If the machine starts to look dingy, try it more often. -
Question: How many washes does one bottle typically do?
Answer: The instructions are to fill the detergent cup with your regular detergent and the overflow cup with lemi shine. One bottle lasts me 12-15 washes. With my hard water, I am generous with how much I use.
