Answer: It is flimsy, and flexed in a terrifying manner each time my 120 pound daughter tried to self transfer from her bed or wheelchair. It was equally unstable when we tried to use it as a shower chair. -

Answer: No, it has to be assembled. The instructions are clear if you follow them, but it doesn't just unfold it is in pieces. -
Question: How easy is it to raise the drop arm? Can it be done while sitting on the commode?
Answer: It was for my husband and he had no trouble lifting arm while sitting. He had one leg missing below the knee and he would lift the arm to slide into his wheelchair. Hope this helps in any way. -
