      Answer: I wouldn't recommend using a shaker bottle. I have had chunks just from not blending enough in a blender so a shaker bottle no. It needs to be blended. But let me add that Met-Rx is the best MRP on the market and when blended it is the best tasting also. Great stuff! The cheaper vanilla flavor is more versatile because you can add your own chocolate flavor or a variety of fruits.

    Can’t afford any more.
    I’ve been using this meal replacement for years. It has doubled in price just in a few months. Very good product but not with a $100 after tax.

    Best Mixing Instructions
    I've been using this product and other MRP and protein powders for 30 years and I've found the best way to mix is by using a Cuisinart Smart Stick Hand Blender or similar immersion blender. First, add a few ice cubes to the mixing cup/mug, followed by a couple of ounces of your liquid of choice, then the protein powder. Then top up with the rest of the liquid while blending moving the blade up and down and side to side to eliminate lumps being careful not to get the blender handle electrics wet. End result: No lumps and only takes about 10 seconds. Happy mixing with this great product.

    Love this product...great nutritional supplement.
    Mix with skim milk, pineapple or banana and ice for a great tasting smoothie that is way better than a smoothie joint.

    Great Product
    Use two packets a day and I've lost 50+ pounds in the past 7 months. Have to put in the work in the gym, and eat other healthy meals too, but this stuff is great for on the go. It doesn't mix well in a shaker bottle, so I recommend mixing it. I mix two every morning in my Ninja. I store them in the fridge at work, but that tends to make it more thick...almost like sludge, so try to take it out of the fridge an hour before, or just leave it at room temperature all day. I mix mine with water, because I'm trying to lose weight, so I don't want the extra calories from milk. I've never tried it with milk, so I can't comment on that. It seems expensive, but if you break it down, it's about $2.24 for a meal. Before I started losing weight, I was drinking 3 sodas a day at $2 a bottle, so I think it's a fair trade off. Comes with a ton of Vitamins and minerals. Will hold you off from being hungry for about 2 hours...maybe a little more. I used MetRX back in the early 90s in my younger years. I switched to Myoplex, as I was a big Bill Phillips fan, but once EAS quit manufacturing Myoplex, I made the move back to MetRX, and feel it's a quality product.

    Have been using it for more than fifteen years. Love the flavor (I mix it with orange juice and mixed frozen berries, it's delicious).

    Why wait to meet your goals?
    I first tried Met Rx in the early 90s, when it came out. I read everything about Dr. Scott Connolly..I had been working on retaining muscle as I dieted and cut up. Two steps forward , one back.. progress!…When I ate Met- Rx, it was 4 steps forward , half step back.. I read read the brochure. Now maybe it possible to get this nutrition with Whole Foods… The time cooking and cleaning up..Hot water…etc. Met-Rx is the easiest way to get the results, we bodybuilders and fitness people want! $2.00 a meal.. Good luck, getting 100% nutrition cheaper! 100% nutrition with Met-Rx leaves 1000 calories for fun eating…Metabolic prescription! Get it people! RX

    Tough to blend, but delicious and filling
    I usually use half a packet with 26 oz of water and have to have a shaker ball to mix it up. Also, way better if the water is cold. Don’t try to use milk, way too thick to have a smooth consistency. That being said, the taste(vanilla) is on point. I use it for a late night snack and it holds me over for at least 4 hours until I hit the hay. Definitely a bit pricey, and haven’t tried the chocolate, but I’d say used as a meal it’s worth it.
