Question: I have two sets of hearing aides, one set is "in the ear" and the other is "behind the ear", is there enough room in this device to hold both sets?
Answer: There is plenty of room for the behind the ear hearing aids that I have. I think it could hold all four that you have mentioned, but it may be a little crowded. -
Question: what are the dimensions of the unit?
Answer: Overall the unit is 6 inches long 3 3/4 inches wide and 2inches tall. The compartment that holds the hearing aids while drying is 4"X2 5/8" X 1 1/4" tall. -

Question: How warm is the dryer? My dryer is way to warm like in a hot car. Nothing like slightly above room temp.
Answer: My "Renew" drier is exactly 120 degrees at the rear and 102 degrees at the front next to the LED UV lights.(according to my infrared thermometer) after being on for an hour or more. I leave the batteries in, and place the aids towards the front of the tray. The 312 batteries seem to be unaffected by this low heat. The "room humidity" settings change the time on, not the heat. Low- 2 hrs., Normal-4 hrs., high -8 hrs. I prefer the Normal setting, I'm in a very high humidity area. -
Question: Can this be used with a cochlear processor?
Answer: Cochlear Americas does not recommend using a dryer with a UV light because, over time, the light will make the color of the implant fade. -
Question: should batteries be removed before placing hearing aids into drying device?
Answer: I don't remove my batteries, but it would seem logical that removing them would improve the drying quality of the device. that way no moisture is contained within the hearing aid case. Batteries only last 5 to 7 days regardless of how you use the drier. I have had a lot of success keeping my hearing aids operational as a result of obtaining the drier. -
Question: What are the batteries for
Answer: If your device has battery power, their use is obvious. If you have a 110v power source, you don’t need to use batteries. -
Question: If this is a plug, why are two batterys included?
Answer: Unit operates at 12vdc from a plug-in 115vac rectifier. There are no batteries involved or available for operation. Only reference to batteries is a hearing aid battery tester and a place on the upper right of the unit to magnetically hold the HA batteries when removed while drying. -
Question: Does this work on battery power?
Answer: This one does not work on battery alone. It comes with a charger and the charger is fairly long. It only takea a few hours.. I think 3 hrs. so...
