    D-24 Size: 24" The Nova Dragon Reacher can help reach and retrieve dropped or hard to reach things. The handle only has to be squeezed 3/4'' to close the 4'' jaws, requiring minimal hand strength and movement. The jaw turns 360 degrees to infinite settings allowing the user to easily grab items without turning their wrists. The gripping surface of the jaw has hard-wearing rubber and ribbed plastic teeth, helping to hold objects firmly and reducing the amount of strength required to lift. The reacher at 24'' length and 4'' opening jaw reduces excessive bending and reaching for items on the ground or high shelves.     • Question: Can I reach my toes with this? I've had a hard time with that ever since they were tossed into the neighbor's yard.

      Answer: I can easily reach my toes with my 24" grabber - I straighten my socks, even pull shoe laces. I keep this one in my office mostly to grab stuff that falls on the floor - all kinds of paper, keys, clips (the magnet attracts metal paperclips/clamps), even popcorn. I also have the 30" version that I keep in the bedroom to pull blankets over my toes without getting up.
    • Question: How to you turn the jaws for 360 degrees use?

      Answer: Firmly grip the handle in one hand and gently but firmly rotate the gripper end.
    • Question: Can it pick up pills dropped on the floor?

      Answer: If the meds are capsules or thick tablets you can pick them up easily. But, I have a couple of thin tablets and when I drop those I can't get them with a grabber. It's broom, dustpan, trash.
    • Question: Can I retrieve a can of beans off the top shelf?

      Answer: That depends on how high the shelf is. If it's at a normal heighth, it should be no problem. The other thing that would make a difference is the size of the can. If it is 16 oz., or less, it should be OK. If it's one of the large size cans, then it's questionable. This device does have limitations. Refer to the other responses. They'll give you some ideas as to it's limitations.

    The handle squeezes your hand when you squeeze it.
    Used for things I can’t reach. I have severe arthritis so it’s painful. I will have to research and order a new one.

    Best reacher for wheelchair user.
    The first one I had lasted me four years. The handle works well to grip and hold items. You are able to apply even pressure with four fingers to apply pressure on the item you are attempting to grasp. It works best with light to medium items. If you use it wisely it should last for years. The one example for this wonderful reacher is the task for me to pick up my DISH remote, that I drop on a weekly basis. The remote is big and I am able to pick it up and set it in my lap. AMAZING!!! The second example is the ability to hook the handle on my wheelchair charger, grasping the shaft of the feacher and lifting it, then placing it in my lap, the charger weighs approximately 3 to 5 lbs. The magnet on the tip is convenient. The hook is also very convenient. The best assistant to achieve independence for a wheelchair user.

    Very Useful
    Reasonably sturdy, has good grabbing power and the grip handle is easy to hold and squeeze. Comes in different lengths.

    I use all the time
    I have several all around the house. Very useful since I get dizzy when I bend over. The ones that don’t fold last much longer than the ones that fold.

    This is my third one. I prefer it to others of which I have tried several brands and types. The only complaint is that that trigger does not hold up.
