Ideal for wheelchair users, people recovering from injuries or surgery, and people with limited mobility due to Multiple Sclerosis, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Arthritis, etc. The Leg Loop is an easy-to-use assistive medical device featuring a durable hand loop to aid in moving or positioning the leg and a large, pre-formed, flexible foot loop for ease of application. Overall product length is 36" and is wrapped in 1" wide black nylon webbing. Flexible metal rod is 22" long. Pre-formed leg loop measures 8.5" long and 3" wide. Hand loop is 8" long. Question: How would this be used to get in and out of the bath tub?
Answer: I would not use this to try to get in or out of the bathtub. I only used this to get 1 leg(the leg closest to the bed) off the floor and into the bed. To me it would be dangerous to try to use 1 hand for holding this strap, and the other hand to maintain your balance to get and out of the tub. Just be careful however you use it. -
Question: How many inches is the foot loop opening, please my husband has lymph-edema with very swollen feet?
Answer: It will be large enough for your husband to use. Not sure the same, however, I believe it will be okay. The leg loop is wonderful. -
Question: Is this leg lift rigid so it is easy to maneuver?
Answer: I've had my left hip removed and now I can't lift my leg more than 3 inches. This loop is amazing. I put my left foot in the loop and lift my leg into the car and there I go. It's easy to use and I don't know what I would do without it. -
Question: Is this usable using the opposite arm to lift leg? i.e.: Right arm, foot loop on left leg
Answer: That is exactly how I use it. MY left keg is in a full leg brace because of paralysis from polio. I hook the loop around my left brace foot and use my right hand and arm to swing it up and into the car or up and on to my bed. I love this device! Hope this helps you decide.
