    • Question: How messy is it to use?

      Answer: Use towels around neck and on bed, the drain tube doesn’t seem to work, so I empty it after washing my moms hair. I don’t know how I would be able to wash her hair if it wasn’t for this, so it’s working for us.
    • Question: how and from where does this thing inflate

      Answer: On the bottom and you can blow it up, or use a air compressor. I just keep it inflated.
    • Question: Can I use this with the bed inclined a bit or does the bed need to be flat?

      Answer: It works better flat. However, you can incline the bed slightly. Make sure you put towels under the neck so the mattress pad doesn't get wet.
    • Question: Where does the basin drain from; the neck area or the back of the basin?

      Answer: from the bottom, near the neck opening - I have found this basin very helpful!
    • Question: Is this basin comfortable around the neck area?

      Answer: Yes, it is inflatable and, therefore, soft enough to contour the neck area while still providing support for someone who lacks muscle tone.
    • Question: I'm worried that this will tilt my mom's head too far back. She does not have the strength to keep her head up. Is that a problem with this product?

      Answer: That should not cause a problem. My problem is getting my moms head back far enough. I put towels around her shoulders and on the bed and wash her hair. The drain on this doesn’t work for me, so I empty it after I wash her hair. It is a life saver tho, because I cannot get her in the shower and it’s the only way I can wash her hair. I am very happy to have this.
    • Question: Can you use it to give a perm?

      Answer: You could. Making sure to thoroughly rince and keeping the perm liquid away from their skin. Extra towels around neck/shoulder area a must.
    • Question: How durable is this product?

      Answer: Seems pretty durable. I have used it 3 times without any problems. The "headrest" shown was useless when i used it so I deflated it after the 1st use. I was unable to wash the back of my mom's head with it inflated. The U shaped area where you put your head in fits snugly to your face so it decreases water leakage. I used a hand towel behind the neck to decrease leakage. There wasn't any but I did it anyway. The drainage tubing was slightly kinked because it was folded up with shipping so I used a blow dryer on low heat to straighten it. If you don't get the kinds out you have to continuously manipulate the drainage tubing so that the water can drain into a trash can that I placed at the bedside. You need to make sure you drain the water out unless they can lift their head up on their own. It is difficult to move with water in it because the " patient " or bed bound persons head fits so snugly into the device. After use I just rinsed it out and then towel dried it.

    Comfortable and effective.
    Very satisfied with this product . The drain tube is on the right side, so if the disabled person is on the left side of a queen sized bed, it just barely reaches off the side. Despite this, it works! No water in eyes. Comfortable on neck.

    better than we expected
    better than we expected! and shipping only took 2 days! incredible. gives my poor bed ridden Mother a healthy and refreshing clean head of hair. She loves it ! really.. that's all that matters. the extra pillow inside really makes this one unique and very comfortable worth every penny !

    Best possible choice out there.
    Best possible choice out there. I use this for my bed bound mother. She finds this very comfortable on her neck and gives great support. It does have an inflatable headrest but I had to deflate it because it kept getting in the way of my using it while rinsing her hair, but my doing this did not lessen the support for her head. My mother has difficulty lifting her head on her own. I have inflated this once since I purchased it last year. It did lose some of the air but I found that it was more comfortable for my mom with it this way. ( you have to find your own level of comfort. ) The drainage tube is to the right and you do have to manipulate it because the soft plastic kinks after storing it between uses. I have a large trash can on the floor for the water to drain into.
