Question: Is this bioavailable even though it doesn't have phospholipids (pc)? i know s-acytl glutotione is the other best way to absorb glutothione.
Answer: While it is true that research has shown the bioavailability of oral (stand-alone) glutathione is low, Glutathione Cell Defense is a unique, patented combination of reduced glutathione (GSH) and anthocyanins that has been clinically studied and shown to impact serum glutathione levels.† To improve absorption of intact GSH, it is recommended the product be taken with water as this helps dilute stomach acid and speed passage into the alkaline intestine. This reduces the risk of partial oxidation of GSH from prolonged contact with stomach acid. The anthocyanins in Glutathione Cell Defense help recycle oxidized glutathione (GSSG) back to reduced glutathione (GSH). -
