    so helpful for my newborn
    My newborn was constipated from 2 weeks until about 8 weeks. We would only use this if she hadn't gone in over 24 hours. Most of the time, the actual insertion of the suppository would stimulate a BM immediately. Only once (the first time we used it) did it sit inside for about 10 minutes. They are thin and smooth and never seemed to bother her at all. She wouldn't even notice when we did it, and it seemed to provide great relief.
