    • Question: What do you do if the wax does not melt?

      Answer: I had always had problems with the wax plug in my Kenmore Elite dishwasher. I checked my water temp and it was 140 degrees. The issue was that the silverware basket was do solidly built that it shielded the Glisten bottle so that it did not get hit hard enough with the hot water in order to melt the wax plug. I moved it to a bit off-center on the bottom rack and ran the DW on the pots and pans cycle with hot rinse and it performed as it should. Problem solved. TR in CT
    • Question: Number of uses?

      Answer: Each 12 oz bottle of Dishwasher Magic is a single use bottle.
    • Question: Will this product remove orange rust/iron stains from my dishwasher?

      Answer: Removed the rust stains from my older dishwasher. I really like this product. I thought my dishwasher was a lost cause.
    • Question: Is it safe to use on a dishwasher with a stainless steel interior?

      Answer: I did a quick search about your question, and found the following comment: "My Kitchen Aid dishwasher has a stainless steel tub. It was getting coated with soap scum and lime scale. I accidently tripped upon Dishwasher Magic at my local Ace Hardware this weekend. Came right home and used it. Words cannot describe my delight and surprise. It is a miracle. My dishwasher sparkes and when I slide the racks there is no squeaking sound anymore. I will be purchasing this product to run through my dishwasher once a month. The preventative cleaning is going to be so worthwhile. Ace should sit this product right on the aisle and do marketing promotions on it. Absolutely wonderful product!     • Question: I have a GE profile dishwasher and i put my dishwasher to the hot boost setting but unfortunately it did not melt the wax. Any suggestions?

      Answer: You need to have your Hot water heater set at a minimum 120 degrees. You will also need to run the hot water at the kitchen sink until it's cart hot before starting the dishwasher.
    • Question: Can my baby use this product a lot?

      Answer: This is used to clean a dishwasher. Not sure what is asked.
    • Question: If I use this product after the expiration date, will there be any effect?

      Answer: I have some I just purchased and it won’t come out of bottle so I would say no
    • Question: Is this for use with Samsung stainless steel dishwashers? Our Samsung manual had no info about use of cleaners.

      Answer: I used this product on my Bosch stainless steel dishwasher and it came out sparkling clean with no residual smells and no damage to my dishwasher finish; I will continue to use the product!
    • Question: Used for first time.. the wax and top of bottle melted, dripped and stuck onto the utensil rack, anyone else have this happen?

      Answer: Oh my goodness, that is troubling! I have used this product several times with satisfactory results; i.e. bottle did not melt! FYI: I have a modern digital Kitchen Aid dishwasher that when using “Glisten” I apply the hottest heat setting.
    • Question: Can rinse aid be present in the dispenser? the glisten web site says "no", but i do not want to empty the dispenser. can i ignore this directive?

      Answer: I did not clear out the rinse dispenser prior to running the cleaner through the cleaning cycle and my Kitchen Aid dishwasher came out beautifully clean and the inside stainless tub looked brand new. I plan to use again and would recommend without hesitation.

    GETS THE JOB DONE
    I like the way its set up, each in its own bottle with its wax plug. I almost look forward to using it. Each month I have an automated e-mail sent to me when it time to do it again.

    Fantastic
    So I’ve been renting my apartment for probably 6 years now. I like to keep things clean and I’m well working order as if they were my own, just out of respect and because were clean people. Our dishwasher was there well before we moved in and I noticed it smelled and was not getting the dishes clean. I literally had to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Which at that point I used up so much water to wash em what’s the point in putting them in the dishwasher! So after a lot of trial and error on different detergents and such and finding out there’s no food trap I can clean, I came upon these bottle cleaners. After one use my dishwasher not only looked clean on the inside again, but my dishes were actually washing now.
