Ylang Ylang essential oil is derived from the star-shaped flowers of the tropical Ylang Ylang tree and is used extensively in making perfumes and in aromatherapy. Similar to Jasmine, Ylang Ylang has been used for centuries in religious and wedding ceremonies. In aromatherapy, Ylang Ylang is used to lessen tension and stress and to promote a positive outlook. Ylang Ylang is frequently used in luxurious hair and skin products for its scent and nourishing and protective properties. Taken internally, Ylang Ylang provides antioxidant support. Ylang Ylang blends well with Bergamot, Geranium, Grapefruit, and Vetiver. Put Ylang Ylang into an Epsom Salt bath for relaxation. Refresh your skin with an aromatherapy steam facial using Ylang Ylang essential oil. Put on your wrists for a sweet, floral perfume. Answer: Hi there, only the citrus oils have a 10 year expiration date. The flower oils have none. To keep your oils working best: keep them out of extended direct sunlight and keep their temp below 100F. -
Question: Is it beneficial to use this in my diffuser?
Answer: You can google ylang ylang, or look it up on any of the sites that sell essential oils. I only use it topically. -
Question: What does it smell like?
Answer: I can't really describe it. I absolutely love it, and so did my friend. I do NOT like "flowery" smells; I like only citrus and peppermint. But it has a very relaxing and unusual, somewhat floral smell. Maybe try to find it at a whole foods store and then order this brand because it is so much better quality. It is a relaxing smell for depression like bergamot is. -
Question: Is this from a cannabis plant?!
Answer: No it isn't. It's official name is Canaga Odorata and it comes from the flowers of the Ylang Ylang tree. Ylang Ylang's are found in Southern Florida. Very nice smelling oil. Great for using in a difuser -
