    Customer Questions & Answers

    • Question: Is there a narco leg lifter to hold two legs?

Answer: Sorry; I do not know.
    • Question: How long is this leg lifter?

Answer: As indicated in the listing.....Rod measures 30" (79cm) long. Total length including hand strap measures 40" (102cm).
    • Question: I am trying to prepare for my husband's post opp total hip replacement - what is this device used for? Thank you - Mary

Answer: Hi Mary, I am 63, had cancer in femur & hip, then femur fractured, needing hip replacement & rod down femur to knee, pretty extensive. While I was in hospital, physical therapist introduced me to to a "hip kit", 4 tools: grabber to help get pants off and on, tool to put socks on, bath sponge and my favorite "Norco leg lifter". Lying down, put foot in loop, guide leg in/out of bed right/left with handle, or pull up towards chest bending knee. Sitting, put foot in loop, lift knee up. This is what they use for my therapy or a gait belt. You can purchase the items in the kit separately. I use the grabber a lot since I still have hip precautions and unable to bend down. Had my surgery in October. The leg lifter is great to help with mobility. My leg was very stiff and swollen, it feels so much better, this tool has truly been a Blessing and hope it will work well for your husband. God Bless you both, Deborah
    • Question: When in a sitting position, does this device allow you to lift one leg up and bend it to place the foot across the knee of the other leg?

Answer: First, check with your physician and/or surgeon about it. If he or she say go ahead and your knee will allow itself to bend that amount then, yep, it helps. Of all of the bells and whistles I had on hand after my bilateral knee replacement, this was one of THE most useful. Even for something that sounds easy (i.e: lifting your legs into bed or onto the couch), my leg - lifter was never far from reach. One of my neighbors saw mine, and exclaimed how "jealous" she was, having had several foot and knee surgeries over the years. I got one for her and she loves it for helping lift her legs up onto her ottoman, etc. So...yes, it's a big help as long as you're not trying to force your joints into difficult positions before they're ready. Use it for assisting movements as allowed.
    • Question: I'm confused. Is the middle part rigid?

Answer: The middle part is slightly flexible, but not rigid. This is a very handy device to help get your leg range of motion back after upper femur and/or hip surgery.
    • Question: How wide is the rod inside the webbing? In rehab I had a lifter with 1” flat rod inside. I don’t like the thin wire rods inside the webbing?

Answer: I did not know that they made a lifter with a 1in. flat rod inside because it would have to be made out of very soft metal to be able to form to your foot. I bought 2 different lifters for my wife { one for the bed and one for the car } and they both have rods incased inside 1 in. heavy duty straps. These have worked out great for her.

    Life saver
I have muscle weakness. I cannot lift my left leg on its own to get in and out of the car. These are a life saver for me, keeping me in the driver's seat. They do tend to bend and twist up. Thank you for making and bringing this product for people like me.

Indispensable if you cant lift your leg up by yourself.
I fractured my thigh bone and absolutely could not lift my leg up to get into bed. This made life SO much easier. Very strong and sturdy. Well made. Indispensable.
