    Customer Questions & Answers

    • Question: My leach lines are blocked and I just had my septic emptied. Is it better to add anything now or to wait until the level of the tank rises some first?

Answer: Lava Lamps is correct Putting this stuff into the toilet or tank itself at any level, it has very little chance to reach the leach fields. If you don't have cleanouts in your leach lines, start digging. If you have no idea where the end of your tank is, get a 8' long 1/4" pipe with a ball valve and female garden hose fitting Tractor supply has them as well as home Depot in more rural areas You can locate the end of the tank with it when running water through it. Your distribution box has sewer pipe running into it from the tank. Probably 1 to 2 feet. Dig til you find it. It will be deep and it won't be easy. When you find it and it's concrete, dig around it until you see the seam of the lid. Dig below that, then remove it. Pour this stuff directly into it. Put the lid back on, l Don't cover it, either until it works or keep trying until you're convinced it isn't going to work. If you need new lines you will need this exposed anyway. I am by no means saying it will work. I have my doubts if the lines are really bad. Either way, there is no easy fix when it comes to septics.
    • Question: How is this added to the system ? Toilet , septic tank or distribution box.

Answer: Bill, I added it to the distribution box as I have easy access to it and it was nearest the issue. Actually I have two distribution boxes as I pump the septic tank drain and seperated gray water to the third box where I added this product. Instructions are to add to toilet as I suspect that is the only access most people have. - Bob
    • Question: Where is the the t section ?

Answer: My husband says the "T" section is what he calls the "clean-out". Just put it in at the toilet. This product is amazing! We have had lots of problems because we HAD a drought. It breaks loose the TP that clogs the "out pipe" to the drain or leach field. It works within 2 days. Now we use the monthly treatment. No more costly septic cleanout.
    • Question: Can this just be poured in the toilet or di I have to open the lid for the septic tank ???

Answer: I pour mine in the line between the septic tank and the distribution box. If you can find the distribution box it is a good place to pour it in, also. I need to do it once a month. My system is 45+ years old. Pouring it into the septic tank might dilute it too much. You should ask the manufacturer.
    • Question: Can I put it in to the T pipe in my septic tank. I know now where this is since we had the tank pumpt. In our area we do not have a D-Box I been told

Answer: You can put it anywhere that will take it into the tank.
    • Question: effective kitchen drain cleaner?

Answer: There is no mention on bottle as to its effectiveness as a drain cleaner. I would think that there are better products for that purpose. The Roebic is comprised of bacteria that breaks down human waste so as free up the convoluted plastic piping that snakes through your drain fields.
    • Question: Do you use this along with Rid-X or in place of it?

Answer: I have not used rid-x - I use packets from another manufacturer. This product is to assist my drain field in taking the outflow as it should. Old drain field, old house, old guy.
    • Question: Why shake up? It is clear fluid.

      Answer: Distribution box
    • Question: Have bad odor coming from drain field and smell coming into bath room what do i use to help?

Answer: Pour this product into your distribution box (between the septic tank and leach field) to try and open up the leach field, if it’s not draining right. If it’s really bad you’ll have to call a septic servic
    • Question: If our septic is slow-draining, and water is up above the lid, can we still use this with the water up or wait until it goes down?

Answer: If your septic level is up to the lid, you're in trouble anyway. As long as fluids aren't coming out the top you can go ahead and dump it in. If it is coming out the top, you'd just be wasting it; in that case drain a little off, dump in the Roebic and do not use the water for at least 12 hours to give it time to travel to your leach field. I doubt it will help but you might get lucking; this product should be use as a maintenance routine to keep your issue from happening, it's not a "corrective" product (in most case). I just had to replace half of my feed line to the leach field. It was collapsed and would not allow septic to flow to the leach field.
