Question: Is this a toxic chemical itself or natural/eco?
Answer: Not a bleach, bluing, or detergent but rather RLR is a proprietary blend of sodium carbonate. While the main ingredient of RLR is pure sodium carbonate, this is a much stronger concentration than standard washing soda. Also phosphate-free, biodegradable and non pollutant. -
Question: Do you let it soak or use it in a regular wash?
Answer: I just use it in a regular wash on warm/hot and then rinse until bubbles/debris are gone from the water. Hope that helps! -
Question: Would this get out the smell of Glade room odorizers and lots of Bounce??
Answer: Maybe. It's basically washing soda which is good for whitening and dinginess. If you want to get odors out, I'd suggest a deep clean. Fill the bathtub 1/2 full with hot water, add 1/2 cup good detergnet (if you use a plant based detergent like 7th generation or similar, you need 1 cup) and 1/2 cup of an enzyme booster (biz, natures miracle, or bac-out etc), and soak garnets for 2-6 hours. Then wash as normal. You can find more info on that in the Facebook group Laundry Love & Science. -
Question: Does this contain optical brighteners?
Answer: The package does not list ingredients, but says that it makes whites whiter and colors brighter. It is not a bleach. It is a white powder. -
Question: Can you use this with soft water?
Answer: Yes, I have used this product with soft water. In my opinion, the soft water helps it to work even better. I use it once a month on cloth diapers to keep them nice and bright! All my diapers still look new! -
Question: Will this help remove rust stains from hard water?
Answer: I don't know, did not have issues with rust stains. -
Question: Is it safe to use on hardwood floors that have a buildup?
Answer: It's mostly washing soda, but I would spot-test it first, allowing at least a week to observe any changes in the hardwood. Have you already tried soap, water, diaper cloth, and elbow grease? I know no better way to clean hardwood than TLC and muscle. -
Question: Does this work well with removing the moldy like odors from buildup in towels??
Answer: It will remove the smells for sure but if there are mold spots those cannot be removed by anything period. RLR user and experienced drycleaner -

Answer: Yes. This product really works.
