Question: Does this work to get rid of dingy marks on sheets? I have pale blue sheets with body-shaped dingy spots! Ewww!
Answer: I don't use this for my regular laundry much, just cloth diapers. I use it to remove detergent and ammonia build up and it works like a dream. It does a great job on my white towels but was not able to get old dingy marks that get left behind the hand towels. Honestly, your best bet would be to fill a squirt bottle with half lemon juice half white vinegar 9% if you can get it, and spray the spots all over saturating them and set them in direct sunlight all day maybe even 2 days. Then was again with detergent and oxyclean. if you have hard water and you don't treat it, be sure to add calgon or just 1/4 C regular salt. That should get out the sweat stains. This works on pit stains in undershirts as well. -
Question: Would this work to get fabric softener smell out of clothes? and is this fragrance free? Thanks!
Answer: I've had decent luck with using it on secondhand items that have that very strong scent from detergent or fabric softener. I soak the item in a small basin with a very strong solution of this stuff (maybe a quarter to a third of a packet for just a gallon or two of water), and--I think this may be important--I add just a couple of drops of dishwashing detergent, something that's good at getting grease out. I soak the garment thoroughly, then let it sit for quite some time (half a day, usually). Then I put on rubber gloves, scrub the garment a little, drain, and rinse briefly. Then I'll put the wet garment in the washing machine with more RLR and my usual detergent. In most cases this has gotten rid of the smell completely or almost completely; in a few cases I've had to do this twice. -
Question: What are the actual and complete ingredients?
Answer: No Phosphates -- Non-Polluting -- Biodegrable There aren't any ingredients listed on the package, sorry. This product is made by Cadie Products Corporation. -
Question: Is this good for treating yeast on cloth diapers (rather than bleaching which im too chicken to do).
Answer: No this would not be good for treating yeast in diapers. RLR is good for helping get rid of mineral or soap build up on diapers; or just a good deep clean when used with detergent. A proper bleach soak would be the best way to take care of any yeast problems. Feel free to message us if you need any help with treating the diapers! -
Question: Will this take citrasolv out of microfiber cloths? also, is it mcs-safe, does it have any odors or chemicals or fragrances?
Answer: I can say it has no odors or fragrances; however, by 'chemicals' are you asking if it is toxic to handle..(skin contact)? No. I would not place it where children or pets could get to it - but that applies with all household cleansers and soaps, always.( What is mcd-safe? ) If citrasolv is a compound containing benzene, toluene, or turpentine, no. Don't try to wash items that have been in contact with flammable liquids - ever. -
Question: Does this help remove deodorant build up on clothes?
Answer: Rlr removed all sorts of build up from our clothes! Soap build up, mineral build up even deodorant build up on my husbands workout shirts :) -
Question: Is this safe for septic systems?
Answer: Yes, it says on the back of the package that it is non-polluting, bio-degradable and no phosphates. -
Question: If I use it alone without detergent or clothes in my washer, would it take care of the detergent and lime buildups?
Answer: It didn't work with or without detergent. I wouldn't waist my money. -
