    Effective burst of energy with clean sugars
    I use these mostly during long belt tests at krav maga. I prefer the chocolate flavor, but these are still good. They give an effective burst of energy when you are gassed, but you do need to put down a bunch of water with them. Also effective if you ate something before class that is leaving you drained of energy. (I've found some foods drain me of energy if I eat them before class, and usually prefer to have nothing or only something very light before a workout.) I prefer the ones (like this one) without caffeine as caffeine gives me stomach issues I don't have time for during a workout/test. Also, these do NOT contain corn syrup or sucralose, which also cause me grief.

    What I use on long runs
    I'm over 60. When I started training for marathons a couple of years ago, I found that I hit the wall at about 10 miles. This product fixes that issue. I use one at about 6-8 miles and another every 4 miles after. I carry 2 liters of water which has become more important lately (not sure why I'm more sensitive to dehydration now). I buy it in the 24 count box and it stays fine until I use it up. I like the Razz flavor which does not have caffeine. I like Caffeine, but not when I'm running.

    Cliff Shot Razz
    I've been a cyclist since the summer of '98 and have been using these gels since I got wise to them. Love Razz and Chocolate Cherry Best, but any of Clif Shot's gels will do the trick on their own before meals, after meals, with your favorite energy drink, or just with plain water. Good stuff. They keep ya goin'.

    Excellent fuel source
    Excellent fuel source with just one packet of this gel. I have used this for many years especially when I’m doing 20 to 30 miles on my bicycle. It does not allow lactic acid to build up in my quads and therefore I have plenty of power to pump it out. Highly recommend it for any serious athletes!!
