Answer: The lower grip is used to pull and balance oneself when standing up from a chair. Once half way up, you can use one hand to grab the higher grip to pull into a standing position. Once standing, you use the higher grip as the cane. -

Answer: You may manually turn the base so the flatter side aligns with the side on which you use it. It does not wiggle when you are using it. -
