Answer: I'm not sure what part of the back you are referring, but if it is the part behind the grey head: That is just the back of the Scanner head. -

Answer: Hello! The part number is 134203 and is usually sold in a case of 1000. FYI This unit doesn't need the disposable covers as long as you wipe it down between patients with an cleaning wipe. Exergen recommends using Alcohol wipes for this. Hope this helps! -CME Corp -
Question: can i change batteries on this thermometer since mine is not working any more?
Answer: Yes, there are screws near the bottom and once unscrewed you can swap the battery out or change the temperature. -

Answer: Yes! You will need to unscrew the battery compartment and under the battery there is a switch where you can toggle between the two degree measurement
