    Overview

DOCTOR’S BEST TOCOTRIENOLS WITH EVNOL SUPRABIO™: Doctor’s Best Tocotrienols supplement provides your body with the healthy benefits of Vitamin E through the use of tocotrienols. Tocotrienols are chemicals in the Vitamin E family produced in Palm Oil. These natural substances provide healthy antioxidant benefits for your entire body by helping protect from the damages of free radicals, such as premature aging, oxidative stress, and various forms of illness.*

    Customer Questions & Answers

    • Question: A.c.grace co says that 'vitamin e' interferes with the absorbtion of 'tocotrienols'. why do you use both in yours?

Answer: No, alpha-tocopherol does not significantly interfere with tocotrienol absorption. It is perfectly fine to take alpha-tocopherol with tocotrienols. We have seen recommendations online to avoid alpha-tocopherol when taking tocotrienols because it may “counteract” the benefits of tocotrienols. However, this is misleading for several reasons. Nearly all of the human research that’s been conducted on tocotrienols has used palm-based tocols, which is comprised of about 25% alpha-tocopherol. At least 12 human clinical trials with palm-based tocols show that tocotrienols reach the bloodstream and vital organs after oral intake despite the co-occurrence of alpha-tocopherol. (1) Furthermore, studies examining high doses of mixed tocols, tocotrienols, and/or alpha-tocopherol (>500 mg/day) have found that the blood level of tocols increase proportionately to the dose taken. (2, 3, 4) Thus, the ratio of tocols supplemented will match the ratio in the blood stream, and the dose of tocols that can absorb at any one times appears to be limitless. In other words, there is no competition or discrimination between the various forms of vitamin E during digestion and absorption. However, research does suggest that prolonged supplementation with high doses of isolated alpha-tocopherol (>150 mg/day) accelerates excretion of all forms of vitamin E, which causes tocotrienol concentrations to decline within the body. (5) For this reason, it is recommended to avoid supplementation with excessive amounts of isolated alpha-tocopherol, regardless of tocotrienol supplementation. 1) Oral tocotrienols are transported to human tissues and delay the progression of the model for end-stage liver disease score in patients. Patel V, et al. J Nutr. 2012 Mar;142(3):513-9. 2) Evaluation of Pharmacokinetics, and Bioavailability of Higher Doses of Tocotrienols in Healthy Fed Humans Qureshi AA, et al. J. Clin. Exp. Cardiolog., 2016 3) Discrimination between forms of vitamin E by humans with and without genetic abnormalities of lipoprotein metabolism Traber MG, et al. J. Lipid Res., 1992 4) Plasma tocopherol concentrations in response to supplemental vitamin E Dimitrov NV, et al. Am. J. Clin. Nutr., 1991 5) Supplementation of diets with alpha-tocopherol reduces serum concentrations of gamma- and delta-tocopherol in humans Huang HY, et al. J. Nutr., 2003
    • Question: How many IU's is this?

Answer: Hello, as stated before, the bottle says 17 IU of d-alpha-tocopherol (57% of Daily Value), along with 50 mg of tocotrienols (alpha, beta, gamma and delta forms of both tocotrienols and tocopherols). From what I've seen, converting from mg to IU for the various Vitamin E isomers looks to be a bit complicated, so I'd ask you to research that. Take care, -John
    • Question: Anyone notice any new hair growing on their head after starting with this supplement? If so, how long did it take to start seeing results?

Answer: My usage of this product is to complement the usage of tocopherols (alpha, beta, gamma, delta), all eight of which makes up what is called Vt E which has other antioxidant, anti aging, anti cardio vascular disease, and so on properties. I have not seen any change in hair growth from the use of this product either from this company or another and I have been taking this for well over a year.
    • Question: ingredients?

Answer: Vitamin E (as d-alpha-tocopherol), Tocotrienols (from palm oil), (as Tocomin SupraBio®, providing the alpha, beta, gamma, and delta forms of both tocotrienols and tocopherols), Palm oil glycerides, decaglycerol monolaurate (emulsifier), softgel capsule (gelatin, glycerin, purified water, carob).
    • Question: how much actual tocotrienols in this supplement?

Answer: According to the label, there are 50 mg per capsu
    • Question: If anyone is using this product is there any soy in it. It does not say it is soy free?

Answer: No Soy in this product they don need to say soy free but they do need to put on lable if it is in the product
    • Question: how much tocotrienol by weight or by % is there in a capsule

Answer: Hi Gideon S. The label reads 50 mg Tocotrienols per softgel, along with 17 IU Vitamin E (as d-alpha-tocopherol). Best, KM
    • Question: What is sorbitol?

Answer: Sorbitol (/ˈsɔː(r)bɪtɒl/), less commonly known as glucitol (/ˈɡluːsɪtɒl/), is a sugar alcohol with a sweet taste which the human body metabolizes slowly. It can be obtained by reduction of glucose, which changes the converted aldehyde group (−CHO) to a primary alcohol group (−CH2OH)

    Great product for the price
I bought it for $18.75, I hope they don't raise the price. I bought it for my sister and it has helped her get rid of her brain fog. It is recommended for stroke patients. I will definitely buy it again.
