Question: Is this a USP approved supplement?
Answer: Since its founding in 1820, USP has helped secure the quality of the American drug supply. These are not drugs, they are natural supplements and don't really fall into that category. I'm sure that you know the answer to your question as there are only 3 brands of supplements that have this obscure certification and all 3 brands are low quality economy brands, not professional grade supplements. Kirkland brand is owned by Costco and is notoriously low quality and NatureMade isn't much better as it is grocery store economy brand owned by Otsuka Pharmaceutical. The 3rd company isn't even worth mentioning as it is a new start up with a poorly maintained home-made website. So, to answer you question, No, to my knowledge Integrative Therapeutics and every other quality brand in the market haven't bothered to be accredited by this Pharmaceutical Regulating body. -
Question: Is this B-complex derived from brewer's yeast?
Answer: I spoke with the company and they stated that 1 of the ingredients in the Active B complex is derived from yeast -
Question: This contains inositol hexanicotinate instead of niacinamide. Is inositol hexanicotinate better than niacinamide?
Answer: According to Harvard Health, a study done by the University of Washington showed that Inositol Hexaniacinate doesn't convert into nicotinic acid at all, which is the form of niacin your body can use. Nor does it lower your HDL like nicotinic acid does. It seems to ONLY damage the liver. It's the only thing holding me back from buying this vitamin. I use Integrative Therapeutic for my multi vitamin and really wish I could use this one, too, as I need more Bs. I'd rather have the flush. I don't find it more uncomfortable than the thought of my liver being damaged. -
Question: Why does the description of the product say "...with Folate...?" Folate is not listed on the label.
Answer: Look more closely at the label ; folate is an abbreviation for it's full description. On label form it says 'L-Methletetrahydrofolate' (whew, hard to type that), plus lots of other longer words following containing 'folate' within them. Hope this helps! -

Answer: Active B Complex does have ingredients that are derived from China. Regardless of country of origin all raw materials are tested with the same scrutiny to ensure safety and the products potency. -
Question: Why do most B complexes have extremely high levels of some of the Bs? I'm used to 100% of each, even though they are water soluble.
Answer: Active B-Complex from Integrative Therapeutics is designed for clinical use where there is a greater need of nutrients. -
Question: How does this compare to other B-complex's? Also, is this too much folate and B12?
Answer: i actually had better results taking a cbd capsule, they work fast and you can take them as needed. I get mine from eden's herbals! -
Question: My Dr wants me to take a high dose folic acid. Would this be an equivalent or equal to a low dose folic acid?
Answer: Active B Complex is neither high dose nor low dose. 2 caps provide 800 mcg DFE. High dose is typically considered anything over 1 mg. Low dose is typically anything below 400 mcg.
