    • Question: How do you open the box?

      Answer: Put the box in front of you with the KIKAR label facing you. The lid opens from right to left. Apply pressure on the lower right side and it will open.
    • Question: Is this Diopter or actually X times bigger?

      Answer: the 4 diopters have different magnifications from 1 to 10, I think, so chose the one that works best for what task you need it for. I personally chose the next to the highest for my Japanese Embroidery so I can see the intersection of the threads in the fabric for placement of my needle.
    • Question: The magnifiers seem small compared to glasses. Can you see clearly using both eyes?

      Answer: Yes, you can see quite well with both eyes. Given that you are looking at something less than 30 cm from your eye, the eye "cross" so that the light path in from the the eyes is significantly narrower, thus the smaller size. These magnifiers work extremely well.
    • Question: What is the field depth for these magnifiers?

      Answer: The depth of field is small. My guess the clear field is about 4-5 inches. T Ro
    • Question: how do I know which lens is which; is there an i.d. on each lens somewhere that I haven't found?

      Answer: The thicker the lens, the greater the magnification.
    • Question: How wide are the lenses?

      Answer: The lenses are approximately 3 inches X 1 inch. They are also about 1/2 cm thick at the widest point
    • Question: How do you id the different lens?

      Answer: There is a slight visible difference in the thickness of each lens.
    • Question: Can anyone recommend a headlamp to use with these magnifiers? I do fine detailed miniature work and need good portable light.

      Answer: Fenix HM65R dual beam 1400 lumen LED Headlamp, I use it at work and has great illumination with different light intensity and rechargab

    A good product, it takes a gentle, thoughtful approach
    It magnifies nicely, which is the point. It was also fun to figure out a few little things: - Opening the box: with label on top, holding it in, say, left hand: it helps to know that the lid opens from left to right, hinge on the right, and to press the middle of left side in w thumb, just below lid, to release the catch. - Each lens piece has its magnification embossed in the clear plastic in tiny letters on its center "tab" --if flat side down and tab away from you, rotate it 1/4 counterclockwise to see it, maybe use a magnifier. I'm choosing to keep them in their original clear sleeves to avoid scratches or dust, marking the magnification in ink on a small, paper-based, stick-on label for easier choosing. -adding the lens pair to the clip-on arm requires care, both to fit them with correct aim, and to push just hard enough to get it to slip in and yet not break anything: I support the arm with finger directly behind where the pressure will be. - I like the soft coating over the part that clips onto my glasses, so it won't scratch them; it holds them on nicely. At first the lens pair seem too close together as if to make you cross-eyed, but then you realize you'll focus on the object so close that it makes sense. Move object towards & away, find best distance. All told, a neat product, glad to have it handy. So far I've used it 2 or 3 times to read things up close, and hope to use it also for fine, closeup work, hands free for the work. This one came with magnifications: 1.7x, 2.0x, 2.5x, and 2.0 and they fit nicely within the case.

    I wear glasses and these fit perfectly on my frames. I love that I get different magnifications and that they all fit in one box for storage.
