Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question: The description says hook and loop closure but the reviews talk about Velcro. Does this item have a Velcro closure or hook and loop?
Answer: I know; it's confusing. "Hook and loop" is the generic term for Velcro. It's Velcro-type closure and works very well. -
Question: what is the Country of origin?
Answer: According to my search they affiliated with Medline Industries Inc 860 S 83rd Ave # 4, Tolleson, AZ 85353; USA Phone:(623) 907-1284 Sorry I took so long to answer. -
Question: does the velcro attach to the bandage if 1 end is cut off to make it shorter?
Answer: Yes, it will. The Velcro will stick/attach itself to any portion of the bandage throughout it's entire length. There are ''no'' special segments on the bandage specifically designed for the Velcro to attach to. The Velcro attaches itself to the full length of the bandage at any spot on it. (I thought about doing the same thing, but I realized that having the Velcro sticking to the bandage at the starting point after the first wrap helped to stabilize the bandage. If you have stabilization issues, maybe cut out a segment somewhere in the middle and sew the cut ends back together so that you have both Velcro tips in tact.) ...hope this book I wrote you helps!! Question: Are these reusable?
Answer: Absolutely! You can also machine wash and dry. They will start to thin and lose elasticity, but you should be able to get several months of DAILY use; longer if only used occasionally. They can also be used against the skin and worn overnight. I wear them 24/7 to reduce leg lymphoma without issue. Hope this helps. I prefer the 4" and 6" as they will spread the pressure more evenly over larger and longer surface. -
Question: can you use to hold an ice pack, and will it fall down if it is holding the ice pack on
Answer: It is _exactly_ like an Ace bandage, with Velcro instead of those little clips. So it would hold on an ice pack nicely if it were carefully positioned and didn't have too much stress on it. For lying in bed with an ice pack, I'd say yes. Holding it on while you go up/down stairs, not so likely. -
Question: What country is the manufacturer?
Answer: I didn’t check before I opened it. I don’t see anything on the product. Sorry couldn’t help you. -
Question: Are these on the thinner or thicker end? I'm looking for a thinner bandage.
Answer: Definitely thinner -
Question: Is this a compression bandage for edema etc, or just an ACE style stretch wrap?
Answer: Our bandage is so much more than just an ACE style bandage. It provides compression throughout the area wrapped with the bandage. With Edema, many times you are recommended to use gradient compression (tighter at the ankle)- this bandage does provide compression on the area wrapped, and can be used for gradient compression by wrapping more snug and more thoroughly at the area of the ankle. -
Question: What is the length before stretch?
Answer: Unstretched length is approximately 70 inches. I just opened a new one to measure. This is a remarkably good item especially for the price.
