Answer: Each black tab has 2 prongs. One is empty, that's the one you push into the old wax guard to remove it. The other prong has the new wax guard which pushes into place. Replace the wax guards when they're dirty and you can no longer clean them, or if you aren't hearing as well. As the wax filter gets clogged, the sound declines. -

Answer: No, these filters are for the Receiver in the Canal style or Behind the Ear style. Custom products use the white filters.
