    Customer Questions & Answers

    • Question: The bottle says the product has a chemical known to cause birth defects or reproductive harm. What is the chemical?!?

Answer: more specifically it says "known to the state of California" to cause birth defects or reproductive harm. Accorsing to California, even hot dogs have this warning. However Thorne Prenatal is good, but also includes vitamin K1 instead of K2 like this product. The K1 could be contraindicated with Aspirin if you take that as well for MTHFR.
    • Question: Anyone else's bottles not list an expiration date? Mine only shows a manufacture date, but no info on shelf life.

Answer: Mine does not have an expiration date either. Seekinghealth.com looks like a great resource and they do have a customer service Dept you could ask. My exp date was within 6 mos of my order date and since most vitamins last 12-24 months and this bottle will only last a month it not an issue for me.
    • Question: Arw these vitamins all synthetic or is anything food based?

Answer: This multivitamin does include some whole food ingredients: ginger, zeaxanthin and lutein from marigold, red raspberry leaf, and milk thistle. Some of the other nutrients are derived from natural sources as well: vitamin D from lanolin (sheep's wool), vitamin K from natto (soy - no soy allergen remains). Most of the vitamins and minerals are synthetic, however. The potency and efficacy of our products is of utmost importance to Seeking Health. We choose to use the most bioavailable, absorbable forms available - many of them, like the folate (L-5-MTHF) and B12 (methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin) are the prevalent forms of the vitamins in the human body. These ingredients, in these superior forms, however, are often synthesized.
    • Question: Are any of the individual vitamins in the prenatal sourced from China?

Answer: Hello! Red raspberry leaf is from Albania/Poland. L-carnosine, ginger extract, coQ10, taurine, retinyl palmitate, vitamin D3, riboflavin, niacinamide, riboflavin 5’-phosphate, folinic acid, biotin, D-calcium pantothenate, thiamin HCl, ascorbic acid, inositol, L-leucine, betaine HCl, ascorbyl palmitate, pyridoxine HCl, and milk thistle are sourced from China. The beta-carotene is from Israel. The vitamin K2, Quatrefolic (folate) and pyridoxal 5’-phosphate are from Italy. The methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin are from Spain. The lutein extract is from China, India, or Peru. The choline bitartrate is from India. The zeaxanthin is from Mexico. The silica is from Germany. -Seeking Health Staff
    • Question: Are any of these nutrients derived from mushrooms or fish? I'm highly allergic

Answer: Hello, Thank you for your inquiry. The ingredients in this product are not derived from mushrooms or fish. I hope this helps.
    • Question: How much retinyl palmitate is in the vitamin A?

Answer: I don’t know … but … I started taking a small amount and increasing the number of pills I took in a day very slowly …. But it just tore my stomach apart … I can’t recommend this product
    • Question: Is this third party tested?

Answer: Hi! Yes Seeking Health Products are 3rd party tested :)

    These do not have iron
These are amazing. The taste isn’t great, but I’m happy to be taking a high quality product. Be aware that these do not have iron (I find this insane), which is necessary for baby. They sell their own version of iron, but I just take a regular 27mg supplement from the pharmacy.

Most comprehensive Prenatals I have found
On my fourth pregnancy. My husband is one of those guys that will research stuff till he’s blue to make sure he’s happy with whatever. This is the prenatal vitamins we ended up with after his research; so I’m pretty confident that there’s nothing better out there. I’m currently taking 4 different vitamins 1) Seeking Health Optimal Prenatals (8 pills a day) 2) Fish oil from Nordic naturals (2 pills a day) 3) Cal-mag from pea-pod (2 pills a day) 4) Juice plus- red and green bottle. ( 2 pills each bottle- 4 pills all together) So, all together, 16 pills a day. It’s obviously divided throughout the day. I’ve done this regiment with all 3 and currently the fourth baby and they’ve all been perfect. We had twins first go around, singleton, and now another singleton. Not saying what I’m taking is the end all be all, just showing what I take that I’ve had great results with! Good luck all!
