"Mildew Stain Remover quickly removes unsightly mildew stains and mold stains from fiberglass, vinyl, plastic or painted surfaces. It begins working on contact. The special buffered formula will not harm vinyl upholstery or threads. It is a better alternative to using regular bleach and contains chelating agents and surfactants to clean better than bleach alone. It can be used on the boat, around the home, on patio furniture, campers, cushions, or wherever mold stains and mildew stains are a problem. Just spray or wipe Star brite Mildew Stain Remover on most canvas T-tops, boat seats, boat covers, bolsters, vinyl cushions, vinyl chairs, bimini tops, tile, grout, shower stalls, shower curtain liners, shower mats, bathrooms, awnings, siding, wood and more. Do not rinse until stains disappear. Most stains disappear in 15 seconds to 30 seconds. Stubborn stains may require a second application and light scrubbing. Rinse well after use. For use on outdoor acrylic fabrics such as Sunbrella brand; not recommended for use on indoor fabrics or clothing; test for colorfastness in an inconspicuous area before proceeding with overall cleaning. PRO TIP: Bleach-based stain removers do not kill mold and mildew, they only remove the stains. For long term mold stain and mildew stain control, follow with a Chlorine Dioxide-based (ClO2) biocide spray like PERFORMACIDE Mold & Mildew Eliminator. This EPA registered mold, mildew, slime, and fungus killer will not remove stains, so use both products in sequence for optimal results. ClO2 also removes mildew smells and musty odors. Question: Is this safe to use on marble tile in the bathroom as long as it doesn't sit on there too long?
Answer: Yes, spray on, let it work 10-15 seconds, wipe with a sponge and then rinse well afterward. -
Question: Can this be used to clean a tent with mildew?
Answer: Not suppose to be used product on fabric, so not quite sure. Tents that are made of a coated tafetta material might be cleaned with this product but definitely not for canvas-like material tents. -
Question: is this bleach free?
Answer: You can smell the bleach immediately upon opening the bottle. -
Question: I will be using this on our boat cushions/seats and some of them are not white. Will it make the non-white parts fade?
Answer: It did not on mine...I've a mix of white and brown seat -
Question: can this clean up white mold under window seals on vinyl jeep top?
Answer: Yes works great on any type mold -
Question: Would this work on infant/toddler car seat cushions?
Answer: This can be used on vinyl surfaces; you need to rinse thoroughly afterward. -
Question: Can this be used on car body paint? If not, what product would you recommend?
Answer: We would suggest the use of a quality car wash to remove mildew stains for car paint. -
Question: Is this product really as good as advertised?
Answer: So far it has been better than other products I've tried. But it didn't totally remove all the mildew. -
Question: Will this work on mildew on regular cloth car seats..?? I have a very old Honda Accord that had some rain come in and wet the seats.
Answer: This will work for the cloth seats. Always test in an inconspicuous area before proceeding and be sure to rinse off thoroughly after usage.
