| Overview |
Droppings from birds and spiders ruin the looks of any boat and can't be removed with just soap and water. But just spray on Star brite Spider & Bird Stain Remover and they'll begin to break down instantly. The non-abrasive, non-toxic formula won't harm fiberglass or painted surfaces and won't remove waxes or polish. Droppings dissolve without hard scrubbing. DIRECTIONS: Spray directly on droppings, saturating them. Allow it to penetrate the droppings for 30-45 seconds before gently scrubbing with a boat brush. Rinse well with fresh water. Stubborn or sun-baked droppings may require a second application. Test for effect on color in an inconspicuous area before proceeding with overall cleaning. |

Answer: I've never used it on any fabric. Works great on hard, non-porous surfaces. -

Question: What are the contents of star brite spider and bird stain remover
Answer: Hi Sue, The label on the Starbrite bottle reads: Contains Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, tetrasodium salt. Take precautions to avoid contact with skin and eyes. If contact with skin occurs, wash well with soap and water. If contact with eyes occurs, rinse with fresh water for 15 minutes. The usual advice about medical attention and keeping away from children follows, however, also on the label is the advice: Non-toxic. Contains no bleach; Safe around kids and pets. It seems a bit contradictory, but common sense should prevail. I hope this of help to you. -
Question: Is it safe to use on natural, unfinished, unsealed stone?
Answer: I don't know for sure, but I believe it would be safe. Works very well on spider poop and other stains. But the stains could liquify and if the stone is porous invade it somehow. Try a small out of the way spot first -

Answer: So far, it has removed all marks left on my painted wood verandah railings and boards. Just follow the instructions! -

Answer: Doubt if it will remove all of it -- and it won't remove ANY of it without hard scrubbing. I was disappointed with the product. And it was not cheap! -
Question: Can this be used on a Hobie Kayak? Will it damage the hull? Have black spots from spiders.
Answer: We use it on our fiberglass hull boat and doesn’t hurt it. We spray the spots and let it sit on the spot a few seconds and then wash it off. -

Answer: The directions don't mention a car (only boat) but it also states "The non-abrasive formula won't harm fiberglass or painted surfaces & won't remove wax or polish." It starts to dissolve instantly to break down the stain & I wouldn't leave on for more than 30-45 seconds to penetrate & then begin to remove. You might have to repeat if stubborn or baked-on stains. -
Question: Does this work on removing stains from hood of car?
Answer: Yes! It works very well for that. We make this same formula in the French homecare and auto markets for pigeon droppings on cars and it is very popular. It is also great in showers and tubs etc for soap scum for the record.
