      Answer: Swan calamine lotion has the following ingredients- Active Ingredients-calamine 8% zinc oxide 8%, Inactive Ingredients- bentonite magma, calcium hydroxide, glycerin, purified water.
    • Question: Does it sting after applying it on your skin?

      Answer: It doesn’t sting at all, I don’t think I would apply it to broken skin. This lotion is a tried and true remedy for itchy bites, and has a drying effect on ivy rashes. It’s a little messy and it’s looks funny on your skin, but it works.
    • Question: Is this phenolated?

      Answer: I do not see any phenol in the ingredients.
    • Question: What is the expected shelf life of this product? I don’t expect to use it often.

      Answer: I don’t know exactly, but if you shake it well before using you should be fine. When I use it daily, I use the thick concentrate in the bottom of the bottle.
    • Question: Does this also work with insect bites?

      Answer: I know it helps with mosquito bites, I have no experience with bee stings or other insect bites. What it does is reduce the itching and swelling which makes it easier to stop scratching.

      Answer: I use it as a spot lotion, and one of those spots is on my face. I don't know about using it as a face cream for every day.

      Answer: I don’t know but there are many companies who make Calamine lotion. Just Google it and you might be able to get an answer.

    Long history of produce quality
    Works but fluid is little thin , If I use a sponge it would cover better. And spread better as I have to do it myself on my lower back side

    Very good to have on hand
    I got a weird rash from opening a cardboard box because I grazed my arm along the edges of it. I ended up with two round rashes that just would not go away after 3 weeks. I bought this and it took about 10 days and my rashes are gone. If you can spot the round marks on my arm...great then you can see how well it worked because there is only a tiny hint of the rash marks. It's almost gone. It is absolutely helpful with itchiness and works almost immediately. I applied it 2 to 3 times a day for the 10 days. Everyone should have this in their medicine cabinet. I am definitely going to do that from now on. I also have about 90 percent of the bottle left. A little goes a long way!

    It helps, but it's a watery product.
    This item helps with the itch. Although, I wish they would make it slightly thicker so it isn't so runny. I have to apply to myself, and a good deal of it ends up on the floor. Also, if you don't shake it up each time before use, it will look like water. The product seperates.

    Very watery
    I wish I had read the reviews before I bought it. It is very watery. But I guess you get what you pay for.
