Durable and lightweight, this exclusive 7' long Silver Spring Multi-Fold Wheelchair ramp can accommodate up to 600 lbs. with rises up to 14" high. Compatible with all styles of wheelchairs, power chairs, and scooters currently on the market, this ramp is a safe and efficient way to navigate over daily obstacles, and provides a hassle-free way to enter and exit vehicles. Its unique multi-folding design allows the Silver Spring Aluminum Wheelchair Ramp to fold down to 1/4 of its usable size. Once folded, simply pull the safety release pin– the ramp will split into two feather-light sections, each with its own comfortable carrying handle. Included Velcro latches ensure the wheelchair ramps don't unfold when they're not needed. |
Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question: i have a tag along camper it is about 3 foot from the ground will this ramp work with a wheel chair
Answer: No. The standard is one inch rise every foot of ramp length. With this ramp a 3 foot rise is nearly 45 degrees..driving a car up a rise like that would be extremely difficult let alone pushing an adult in a wheelchair. Maybe a small child in the chair could work but be careful. I used a pair of 12 foot ramps end to end for a 30” rise and I could get my wife up. -
Question: What is the weight of the unit
Answer: All together total weight is 42 lbs. 21 lbs per section. Total of two sections. -
Question: I am looking at buying the 7' ramp and wanted to confirm the width of the ramp?
Answer: About 29 inches. We used ours to load a Jazzy into our van. -
Question: Some ramps are made specifically for wheelchairs. Can this 7 foot ramp be used for someone using a walker (2 steps -- total 14 inch rise)?
Answer: The ramp is wide enough for wheel chairs of standard size. I see no reason that as long as the walker is no wider than a normal wheelchair wheels then it should be wide enough for the walker. -
Question: Will this work for walk up steps with crutches?
Answer: U don,t think it will make it easyer, but it will be non slip.but if it's more than two steps it will get steep.
